I know everyone's been talking about them and how good they look etc etc, but I don't have access in my area to a WD does anyone have one handy so that they could throw me the stats and points and all of that? (I know it's a lot to ask but I don't really know where to go to ask other than dakka) if you can show me where to go or just show me that would be awesome!

ugh! I don't have a way to get one my flgs doesn't carry em! I'm going mad lol I'm gonna buy one just don't know how many or if they're going to be like koptas and one is enough XD

Try a local bookstore that sells magazines? its a longshot but possible. and its worth getting a hold of one. I found some post with WD pics and breakdowns and at first discounted it. but when i looked at the dakkajet and its upgrades, I changed my mind.

I playtested it yesterday borrowing my buddies stormraven. with a redpaintjob it moves 13 and fires everything, which with extra supa shoota is 9 shots at a grots BS. and on a WAAGH turn its double!. the things pretty sweet.

as for the other two im still not impressed. all the bombs are one shot only (you carry two) and you pay extra for the scorcha missiles, so they get even more pricey than im comfortable with. and their armor is too light to pay for more than what the dakkajet is with upgrades IMO.

I've been tinkering with adding one to my list, but I'd only add one. They seem too fragile to risk just under 300 points for 2 of them.

I'd try one, and see how it does. If you like it, add another to the list, and see if 2 works bettter for you than one, for the points, compared to other choices..

Well it's got some great potential and with my wagon list reserving it and then letting it fly in and lay down da dakka will be awesome XD

I ran this as my third in slot with two squads of deffcoptas outflanking. They really worked well in tandem as the plane zoomed 36" first turn and got stunned by enemy shooting, but the deffkoptas luckily outflanked from that side and pushed on the vehicles causing my opponent to change focus to something that was a bigger threat to his vehicles. once tanks opened up it helped my assualting boys by putting a lot of dakka into a squad before it was assaulted.

I only played on game so i cant quantify as anykind of expert, but I think 2 max, but they work really well with koptas, as they compete for your opponents ranged affection so to speak. and as they are primarily anti infantry, they will want your koptas first.

I'm going to run them in my BW bash list and I thought 3 at most. It's just so much fire support so fast XD I wanted to maybe try the flamethrower version but I don't know how well it would work just to clear out back support...especially if you don't go first.

I first had sights on the burna bommer too, dont like that the bombs are so weak and you only get two. plus more points and you have to pretty much stop, wait for resolution then continue. and the points get high when you add in the missiles. and where it needs to be, it can be stopped by lucky bolter fire.

the 2k list i ran was like this

2x war boss (AOBR)

15 lootas

15 burnas

2x 5 nobs trukk (rpj, boarding plank)

2x 19 boyz, Nob PK BP

2x 3 deffkoptas tl RR, 1 buzzsaw

1 dakkajet, RPJ, extra supashoota

3 battlewagons 1 deffrolla

lol just bought 1 for now. I've got a few more things I have to get this go around (I'm looking at you deff rollas -.-) I just bought mine and I'm pretty excited I dunno what configuration I wanna run yet. I wish I knew how to magnetize it so I could try all three XD

I did when I put the order in for my plane. Just wanted to see what I was getting before I bought the plane and Sasori was awesome and helped me.

Aw man that would be awesome! I've never tried the zzap guns before XD I ordered my plane I dunno what variation I wanna run yet though =[ I think the dakka jet but I wanna read everything and see upgrades before I make a decision. I think the blitza bommer looks awesome though XD

lol! I'm worried about the crashing burning though! I know it's orky for some crap like that to go down but MAN I could sink a lot of points in that thing and then lose them on one bad dice roll! Makes me sick to think about it XD

Does anyone know the dimensions of the planes, and how high up they are? They are cool models, but they just don't look as crazy and looted and cobbled together as i'd like them to be, so I plane to build my own. I don't want to end up looking like i'nm modeling for advantage though, so i could use the help.

They look to be on the same flight stand as the Stormraven, valk etc.

So the top of the model is about 8 inches in the air, with the clear flight stem being about 5 inches long.

Thanks! I'd assume if the plane is 3in by itself, then how long is it, 8in?

The Stormraven is 9.5 inches long and about 4 inches tall.

So the Ork aircraft should be close to that.

Looking at the sprue pictures, I think you can easily magnetize the wings to switch between variants. There doesn't seem to be a third pair of supa-shootas in the box though.
