I've dreamed of it for a long time since seeing Glo-plug motor tanks at the Army Show at Aldershot when I was little.

The 1/16 scale looks good and chunky, though I think there are more choices of vehicle available in the 1/24 scale.

There must be clubs for it. THe fun is playing battles, of course.

I bought three of them for my sons and I last Christmas.

It was fun while it lasted. but they are not cheap, and none of them are still running at this point...

ouch... hate to hear that. 1/24 IR battle tanks do seem more available but its hard to tell which tanks will work with which.

Way on back in the deep caves

I had a pair of tiny 2" tanks that could shoot each other with infra red beams. They were the best thing ever but they were broken in about a month.

I have built the 1/16 kits and they are fairly sturdy construction. With proper care (graphite lube) they can last for a long time, and look nice even when their functionality is over.

I've considered getting one that fires BBs to use in airsoft, but I haven't yet...

Ive always liked the Tamiya RC tanks. Hella expensive and a hella time to build.....but for realism.....I dont think there is any better.
