I like the lava. The green is a little too drab; this is more like a Raptors color. Try and up the saturation a bit?

I find the lava shouldpad to be very well executed.
The green colour doesn't really say; "Salamanders" to me, but in the end you can paint your models any colour you like without having to listen to people that have pre-conceived notions about how models should be painted......including me. .
Also I really like the bluish tint to the bases. It is IMO a really nice colour to off-set the green of the models.
I would say that the weapons deserves a bit more attention.
Good work. Keep it up.

@Uncool Villian - Thanks alot
@Masterslowpoke - very good eye. I actually love the Raptors colors, but I love the Salamanders to, so I combined them. the drabness is intentional :p
@ Steelmage99 - thanks for the compliments i really love the bases to. How would you improve the weapons? more metallics? please feel free to cc

Personally I like the green .
If you consider the GW result as a "daylight" appearance then this is how the Salamanders might well look in some of Nocturne's tunnels and on the surface with an atmosphere choked with volcanic dust etc. (although I'm making a bit of an assumption regarding light levels).
My only suggestion would be to do something about the "chalky" appearance in places, but other than that you're good to go IMHO
