Okay, so, thank you, GW, for throwing a pleasant little wrench in my plans for TT wargaming summer stupidness. I had originally planned to spend next summer's 40k budged of ~US$200 on three LRs, and maybe a scout squad, or something else I can laugh at. BUT with this new Stormraven Gunship that I'm actually pretty hyped up for, I can shave a little more money it for, perhaps, a Terminator squad, since the Stormravens cost $45 a pop, as opposed to the LRs $66, IIRC. What should I do, dakka?

Well, if you want Terminators I'd probably grab some of the AoBR ones while they're still cheap, before the starter set is phased out. You should still be able to find them on eBay for cheaper than regular Terminators. Also you're thinking of Stormtalons; Stormravens will cost twice as much as they do soon.

So what you're trying to say is you want to buy three Land Raiders? Their price is going up VERY soon, so I'd probably buy them while you still can. Order from The Warstore and you can get them for 20% off, and preorder a Stormtalon (also at 20% off) while you're at it. That should come out to just around $200.

They go up every year, because the market can bear it. When it can't anymore, they'll drop prices again. It's been confirmed by a number of store owners here on Dakka, and elsewhere in the 40k community. It's supposed to happen in the next few days, so I'd put in a Warstore order now!

Ah damn, but I already chewed up my budget getting started! D: Crap... Ah well. I suppose that'll limit my plans, but screw it! I can get a job. Or just buy less.

Warstore posted the price increase in their newsletter over the weekend. Any orders made by May 31st will be charged at the current price. Any orders placed after that date will be charged at the upgraded price. Preordering the stormtalon will of course be at the release price since that is coming after the general price increase anyway.
