Hey everyone!

Pretty new to Dakka so I figure I will start by sharing some of my work so far!

If there is enough interest I will dig out the camera and put up some shots of other models.

Please post your comments and criticism as I want to improve.

Check out the gallery for alternate angles.

Cheers!

Very nice. Traditional tau scheme with some clean lines. Good pose on the FW suit too.

Thank you warboss, the lines have been my recent focus, fixing my earlier work on other battlesuits and tanks

Thanks Jimsolo, I am thinking about adding some of my conversion work to get some critique. Kroot conversions only so far but got some more to show if people are interested

I'd definitely be interested in a few more shots! These look very clean and sharp, as Tau should.

Has the piranha been highlighted like the battlesuits? It may be the lighting, but they look slightly different.

Thanks everyone!

@NoBaconz4You (loving the name) it has been highlighted the same, with the new ungor flesh layer but as the piranha generally has smoother edges the effect is subtly different.

Since I have had so many responses so quickly, tomorrow heralds the reveal of some kroot!

Those Tau are looking pretty good! I only have one bit of criticism: I don't know if it's your camera or the lighting, but those pictures are really not doing those figs much justice. With some better pictures, I'm sure we'll all be able to appreciate them a little better.

Other than that, keep on trucking with those Tau! I'm always happy to see fellow fans of the crisp, high tech lines that make up a Tau army!

I agree with spectreoneone- I bet with some better lighting and focus these pics would be amazing. From what I can tell the paintjob is great though!

Ok then, time for more!

You have all given me an insane confidence boost as you are the only people besides my family who have seen these. Now I might have to make the trip to play in my FLGS

Kroot number 1 is a slight conversion using a gruesome piece from an Ork sprue and number two is my "count-as" Shaper.

Enjoy!

Can you elaborate on whats going on with those Stealth Suits? I don't what you were going for, is that supposed to be camo?

They scare me and not in the good way.

After looking at them for a second I relized that you actually used the sand for the base to give it a cloak effect. Unfortunately the texture is what throws it off and takes away from the model as a whole. I think it'd be more effective to just paint a dusty look onto the model with the same light ripple effect.

I'm expecting an Imperial Knights supplement dedicated to GW's loyalist apologetics. Codex: White Knights "In the grim dark future, everything is fine."

"The argument is that we have to do this or we will, bit by bit,
lose everything that we hold dear, everything that keeps the business going. Our crops will wither, our children will die piteous
deaths and the sun will be swept from the sky."

I think if you blended the sand into the surrounding body parts you would have a much greater effect of transparency , Im a fan of it so far though!

Battles, it was an attempt at making a transition between the suit and a camouflaged suit, the blue lines being the divide.

Thanks for the comments though.

Next up, tanks!

Baron deathnyx, is that your own work? If so very nice! But sadly my tanks are quite plain, painted in my own girrafe-o-flage

Glad that some people like the suits!

Will try to upload more pictures tonight!

Unfortunately you can't see the edge highlighting very well in these photographs, you can see it in the close up of the nose quite clearly though.
