Hey mate,

I am by no means an expert but a few sugestions i have for a pretty cool list.

Give all you TWC storm shields, give ona a thunder hamer and another melta bombs. This does lots of things, first they are going to draw alot of fire...... ALOT!!! especially at 2500 points. 3++ is going to save your points. second you want to run them in the shooting phase so they get in close combat ASAP this is where TWC should be smashing face!!! when they can move 19 - 24" (when assualting as well) bolters are a waste! third thunder hammers do damage to all sorts of nasties, DP, GD, anything nurgle, most Walkers, etc but when assualting hordes you can not use it and get alot of rending attacks that use his Int.

Kill points may be an issue with you and 4 5 man squads. Id take another 10 man in a rhino or an 8 man for your RP, maybe 2. this gives them more support if asualted and allows them to JothWW or LL out the top of the rhino. with 15 missiles and 2 tl lascannons should do for fire support. of course if you want more lascannons take a razorback for the LF.

Just some ideas mate hope it helps,

BLOCKA

LIsten to BLOCKA. That is really good advice.

Also, I would say that the Frost Axe is not worth the points. A Wolf Claw is a better deal for the points. With the +1 Str that the frost blade gives, you will wound T4 models on a 3+. But with the WC, you can re-roll the 4+ to wound. The re-roll gives a 75% chance to wound while the +1 Str gives you a 66% chance to wound. And I think the wolf claw is cheaper for the points too. You make the call.

Next...You will want to put your RP's in Rhinos NOT Razorbacks. This is because Rhinos have a fire port for them to use their psychic powers, but Razorbacks do not. Similarly, leaving them as independent characters makes them too vulnerable. So I suggest putting two of those 5 man GH squads together into one 9 man squad and make your 10 man squads into 9 man squad. That way your RP's can join them and rock and roll in the Rhinos. You'll lose a Razorback, but you can spend the made up points on storm shields for your cavalry.

Thanks for the advice on the cavalry, I will for sure make the changes with All shield.. I don't know why i didn't see that lol (probably cause i was trying to save points to squeeze everything thing in)

As for the Rhino/razorback thing, i agree. but not willing to chop up my 10 man squads. I already thought of this for the Firepoint in the tank, More then likely i will drop a razorback and turn it into a Rhino Then use two Razor's to support soemthing else giving 3 5 man teams with RP's rhinos. I shuffle transports around all t he time and normally it works out. but in all honesty..i did miss that entirely of shooting jaws out of the rhino >.< Ty much for showing me. A idea i have... Since i have 4 Razor backs on the table with TL lascannons.. Would it be smart to drop 1 squad of Longfangs... And with the points buy 2 rhinos? I would have points left over i could throw somewhere.

No. The Long fangs are one of the best units in the game. They're really hard to kill when they sit in cover raining Krak missiles on your opponent. If your opponent is Nids or Orks, you can switch to Frag missiles and cover him in blast templates. Do you want to do both? Split fire.

Yeah that's a lot better. I still wish that you could fit all of your rune priests into rhinos.

My vote would be to drop the one RP with Wolf Spirits and use the points to make your WG BL into a Wolf Lord. (NOW he's really a CC beast with four WS 6 attacks at I 5 re-rolling to wound AND Saga of the Warrior Born! If you have any points left after that, spend them on Standards for your GH's.

I would still get rid of the Wolf Tooth Necklace though. It only works in CC against models with a weapon skill and since the wolf lord has WS 6, he hits anything that has a WS of 5 or less on a 3+ anyway. How many times is he going to be in CC against a model with WS 6? Practically never. And even if you DO, you can use your WC to re-roll your misses!

You can go 3 units of 9 Grey Hunters, that will give your Rune Priests some squad cover, and they would all fit in Rhino's, so they will be able to use there psychic powers. Keep 3 units of Longs Fangs, and give them Razorback Transports for extra killing power. Bolters are useless on the TWC, as mentioned before. With pistols and close combat weapons they get an extra attack with rending, and once you're in range to shoot with your bolters (since you will always be moving your TWC) you're potentially in range to charge. Give your Cav some love, let them kill some extra stuff on the board in CC.

Grugknuckle i do have the Rp units in rhinos, Played a game just tonight with my second list and it looks and played beautiful, Although i learned the hard way never to shoot jaws through your own units -sighs- The TWC destroyed everything they came into contact with.. I like the Wolf claw much better then the Frost weapon. Everything else in my list honestly...didn't do a whole lot. My opponent was busy dealing with 9 furry machines of death plowing right up the middle.

Vierhof I do like the way i have my GH set up i must admit. Enough units to cover the board . And i need the 2 ten man units so i can get that free melta gun lol.
