Why were the Squats taken out of 40k? I mean, they were pretty kick-ass.
Also, another thing. Can someone explain to me why there aren't any female Space Marines at all? I mean, that'd be pretty cool(and I think GW is kinda sexist lol)

I guess I'll take this one. 
As far as I know, the Squats were taken out of 40k because 2nd edition had a very different feel and mood, compared to Rogue Trader, and the slightly quirky Squats didn't fit. You're better off asking someone else, since I wasn't actually playing at that time.
As for the fem-marines bit, IIRC, the Emperor was a dude, so that makes the gene-seed organs, which are derived from him, incompatible with females.
