Pile of Necron Spare Parts

Hey all.

I want to make a Destroyer Lord with a Warscythe, but i do not want the old Destroyer Lord. So my question is; how do i make this happen?

I have a few ideas myself, but all with a minus:
Use the Lychguard torso, weapon and head, on a destroyer body. - (A pack of lychguards are expensive and i do not need lychguards atm.)
Use Vargard Obyron's torso, head and weapon, on a destroyer body. - (Not sure if Obyron's torso and legs comes in 2 pieces. Also, if i want Obyron for later use, it would look weird that a destroyer lord would look like him.)
Surrender and buy the old one. (meh)

If you have an idea, please comment.

Destroyers are supposed to cobble together their bodies from parts of other constructs so that their form is optimised for destruction.

Why, then, do destroyers all choose the same form - and a form that doesn't contain components from any other Necron unit?

personally, I've always thought the idea of a destroyer with a jetpack of some description would be rather cool - the Tomb Blades have some funky engine-type components you could use. replace the legs with either anti-grav gubbinz or something like a Wraith tail or Szeras' legs

as for the torso, Obyron has a nice body but too many trailing parts that go down below the torso, you'd need to resculpt those or be very fiddly when cutting them off. Deathmarks look rather cool though, and you almost certainly have those in your army (if not immortals)

Use the lychguard, such a good box set! I have used them to make numerous lord conversions including the one in my Gallery. Uses a finecrapst overlord with a scythe from the lychguard which i put two blades on the head to make it much bigger

I had some leftover bits so I just used the Overlord's head from the CCB as well as the warscythe. It looks pretty sweet.

I would have gone with a Warscythe, but I think it looks pretty damn cool man.

Note the most inspiring conversion in the world, but my lord:

Its a Destroyer with the head, scythe and orb from the annihilation barges lord.

The new upgrade kit is the same old Necron Destroyer Lord, only in Finecast. OP said he didn't want that model.
