Yes, yet another Stormtalon thread

However something was brought up on Sunday at the local store. Our Store Manager pointed out that the entry for the Stormtalon doesn't specify which marine codex it is for, therefore right now it is OK to use this in Dark Angels, Black Templars, Space Wolves and most importantly Blood Angels armies as well. I took this with a pinch of salt and am handing it over to you guys for your opinion.

My personal opinion is that it wasn't shown in any other Codex colours and would presume that is for vanilla marines only. Especially as Wolves and BA have enough as it is.

The White Dwarf states 'official update to Codex: Space Marine' so guess that means that only vanilla marines can have it.

By that logic, it's also available for Dark Eldar, Tyranids, Brettonia, and Khador.

Your store manager pointed out that "everyone can buy one... quickly BUY THEM NOW!"?

How interesting when even I, who no longer follows what GW releases, knows that it is supposed to be for C : SM rather than all marines

The entry in the white dwarf says for codex:space marines, if it said a new model for space marines then other marine armies could take it.

Blood for the bloo... wait no, I meant for Sanguinius!

All over

It's normal space marines. Personally it would be great in a white scar out flanking army.

There were allot of game stores that tried the same thing with the storm raven when it first came out, they told all the marine players they were getting it so they could sell more. A couple game stores went as far as painting them in ultra smurf colors for their displays.

I was looking for the clarification on this earlier, which page of WD is it listed as an update for C: SM?

It's at the bottom of the page the rules are on. It says "Codex: Space Marines" in the margin. I looked for several minutes trying to figure it out.

Perfectly legal if you play your RW as counts as Codex:Marines and just use a bike Captain.

Which is a more competitive option for bikers too
