Hey y'all. I basically just stayed up all night watching Flight 666 and Rock in Rio, and I think I've been converted to Maidenisim. I really don't know how to describe this, but I can honestly say, for a fact, that Iron Maiden is one of the most talented and unique musical acts to ever be assembled. Their character and energy are completely their own, and their shows instill such a tight sense of comradeship, I felt like I was in the crowd from the seat I sit it. I swear, my roommate was telling me to turn down my headphones and stop headbanging so he could sleep. I've never been so drawn in by music, and through a computer screen, no less. I have no idea what seeing them in a few weeks will be like. I don't think anything can really prepare me.
Just thought I had to share that, because my girlfriend certainly isn't sharing the sentiment.
I Like me a bit of Iron Maiden as well, but I only really like their older stuff - to me anything after No Prayer For The Dying is utter gak, and even that wasn't brilliant.
Sadly, for me they've had their day, but when they were good, boy where they gooood!

Fighting on with dignity,
In life and death we deal,
The power and the majesty,
Amidst the blood and steel.
We were once so close to heaven, St. Peter came out and gave us medals; declaring us "The nicest of the damned".

They're alright...
Not my favourite band, or on my top ten but they're pretty good...

I'm both selfish and rational. I'm scheming, secretive and manipulative; I use knowledge as a tool for personal gain, and in turn obtaining more knowledge. At best, I am mysterious and stealthy; at worst, I am distrustful and opportunistic.
They are awesome live.
I went to the Brave New World tour and was blown away.
I've been a fan for a number of years

Joey's just trolling. He's easier to take once you realize that half the crap he posts is just to get a reaction.

Welcome to the fold!
I, for one, take much comfort in the fact that Bruce Dickinson is a limitless battery of energy who will likely outlive us all.

Wasn't he involved in Great Britain's Olympic fencing program?
Bruce is a champion foil fencer, and also a pilot. Iron Maiden is pretty awesome, to say the least.
The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

Yeah, he was some sort of national champion, as well as an accomplished airline pilot (he actually flies the band's jet, and flew British citizens out of Lebanon in 2006 when the country was imploding), and I think he may also be a novelist.

I was at the Earls Court gig from that tour, my first Iron Maiden experience. Unfortunately I was allocated a seated ticket, up at the back; it was still great though.
