Currently reading the novel Legion of the Damned and was wondering are there any other bl books out there about them or have short stories about them? On a side note from what little I do know about them pretty much makes me believe that the big e is still alive and working through them.

Did you ever doubt that the Holy Emperor of Mankind could be dead? Ill pretend i didnt hear that.

About the books, i dont know any but you should check Lexicanum or the Black liblary itself.

As for doubting big E never he protects us all, just clearing up other topics that wanna say he is dead lol. I will also check Lex but figured my other DakkaDakka brothers would be a more reliable source.

As from a brief bit in the vanilla codex, there is not much on them that I have been able to find.

However, I do really wish my thunderfire performed as well in game as Predator did.

Granted I understand the more on them the less of a mystery they become, but man they have such a strong foundation for some great stories.

There isn't much on the legion themselves but you can read some of the badab stuff before they became the legion in the Imperial Armor books

We are winged salvation, but we are a terrible, final salvation, and our wings embrace the horizon with fire. We are the Blood Angels. To confront us is to die, and death is my remit, my reality, my unbounded domain. I have known death, and defeated it, claimed it as my own. To my cost, to my strength, death is my one gift to bestow, and I am nothing if not generous.

I have most of the black library books for 40k, I do remember a story that had them in it, and I think it is in one of the short story books, but for the life of me, I can't remember. It was only a small part, not like a whole story about them, the the Legion of the Damned book. That is a good book, but doesn't really talk about the Legion, just that they show up when they feel they are needed.

My question is, supposedly they are the Fire Hawks chapter, that disappeared in the Eye of Terror. So why are they called the Legion of the Damned, when all the Legions were Pre-Heresy, I think they could be one of the two legions that were removed from Imperial records by the Emperor. But that is just a theory, no proof that I have seen so far.
