Tough-as-Nails Ork Boy





Here is my new blood axe army that i tweaked a lil and im gonna make them impearal guard-ish a lil:

HQ:
(100pts) Warboss, PK, shoota/skorcha, eavy, bosspole

Units:
(345pts) 3 Looted wagons (seperate of course) boomguns, all ard (gonna b just leman russes with a couple ork glyhs, like the traded 4 them)
(265pts) 15 Kommandos, 2 burnas, boss snikrot (attached with warboss)
(100pts) 5 Kommandos, 2 rokkits, nob, big choppa, bosspole
(100pts) 5 Kommandos, 2 rokkits, nob, big choppa, bosspole
(145pts) 20 Shoota boyz, 2 big shootas, nob, bosspole
(155pts) 20 Shoota boyz, 2 rokkits, nob, bosspole
(155pts) 20 Shoota boyz, 2 rokkits, nob, bosspole
(155pts) 20 Shoota boyz, 2 rokkits, nob, bosspole

Plan is to have my shoota boyz advancing while 1 squad targes infatry and the othe 3 with rokkits targets vehicles while my boomguns lay down cover fire than i have my warboss with snikrots kommando infiltrate and cause havoc than the 2 small kommando squads with rokkits try to flank some vehicles and take them out with there rokkits, thoughts?

I like the theme, I wasn't brave enough to try cammo for a blood axe horde, hats off to you sir. I also like the fact that your running 3 Boomgun looted's, I've never seen that before and I may try it. I think you should give your warboss cybork body, being an independent character he can be singled out in CC and if any of those are power weapons then hes taking it in the face . Also, keep in mind if he gets singled out and killed the boss pole is gone as well. I know you cant give one to snikky, just something to think about. Putting him in with snikky and his krew is a cool idea, but remember, the warboss does not get the infiltrate rule because the unit does not give it to him. He can however come on any table edge when outflanking thanks to snikky's special rule.

The two units of 5 Kommandos are not going to survive long in such low numbers, even with a boss pole they would get wiped. If you wanted to keep the kommandos I would probably combine the two to make a unit of 10. I would only take rokkits if you could take 3, with a bs of 2 and needing 5 to hit only 1/3 are going to hit. All of your nobz should have PK's, not only to deal with vehicles but to get through those high toughness low save units. With your boyz mobs I would consider dropping the bosspole's. As long as you have more then 10 in a unit then they are fearless so they have to eat through 10 before you have to start testing.

You could take 9 Kannons for 180pts. Saves you 165pts and you have much better odds of getting a hit (BS 3 and you don't need to worry about Don't Press Dat!). To me that seems better than 3 Boomguns. Use the points saved to up the kommando or shoota count, or get a KFF Big Mek to grant a good chunk of your shoota boyz a 5+ Cover Save.

Looks like a fun list, i sorrta do the same with the Warboss but i take 2 of em and put em on bikes so the turn after they come on i can detach em and wreak havoc on the enemy .
