Elite Tyranid Warrior

The other day I was reading through my Tryanid codices. Tyranid fluff has not changed too much from the 3rd edition. All the major events
are more or less the same but each codex describes them a little bit differently. It got me wondering weather the fluff in 40k should be considered
cumulative or do newer codex’s supplant older ones. For example should the 5th edition codex be considered the definitive description of the
war with the hive fleet Behemoth? Or should it be viewed as multiple source documents covering the same history?

I could see it being the latter. I have always liked the fluff in 40k has a bit of an “unreliable narrator” quality to it.

Pay special attention to what ADB says, as he is a writer for Black Library.

Numberless Necron Warrior

All I know is that the necron fluff jumped from gathering souls for C'tans to they overthrew the C'tans millenia ago (after gathering souls) and now they just want to kill people.

40k - Necrons
LOTR - Harad
Mordheim - Reikland

Heh, I remember when the fluff (read that as GW advertising in Dragon magazine) talked about Space Marines scouring the underhive and press-ganging recruits.

Yep.

They still do in my game.

None of this holy-roller crusading monk crap.

Powered armour wearing, rapid-fire-auto-rocket-grenade-launcher wielding brainwashed psychotics is where the marines are at.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.
