Hey javlien, you can do it for sure... Indeed, you can use anything to convert to anything. AOBR termies to chaos termies, Chaos Termies to space wolves termies, Regular Termies to orkz Mega Armoured Nobs ^^

The hobby is just about it: taking wheatever you want to give your models the apearance you want

The only limitation here, is that GW events dont accept non GW models, but you are ok with that, as AOBR is a GW product

As how you coild make that conversion: i depends a lot on what you want: AOBR termies comes with storm bolter and power fist (a plain, bare power fist).

Chaos termies use a twin-linked bolter, so you have the first thing to convert (remove the bolter and replace it with a pair of bolter glued together?)

Those powerfists can gain some chaos symbols too, and some "spike bitz" can greatly increase the feel of it... skulls, chains, spikes... that is up to you, and what you have available...

One good thing i can tell you: take some photos around to use as inspiration, use some green stuff if you have the skill, try to make their armors look more barouque and less clean... All that is part of the converionist experience, and it is a lot of fun...

I hope to have helped... good look on your converions, and dont forget the pics ^^

If my post show some BAD spelling issues, please forgive-me, english is not my natural language, and i never received formal education on it...
My take on Demiurgs (enjoy the reading):

Please, if you think im wrong, correct me (i will try to take it constructively).

I've done it before. I just cut out the head, shaved off the imperial symbol, and "chaosified" it.

I'm going to try it with 2 AOBR termies I got off eBay for 99p. WIN!

Imperial guard: Because quantity has a quality of it's own.

Sisters of Battle can be used in any game, with the exception of chess, Monopoly and of course, Warhammer 40,000.

After 8 editions, you might have thought that GW could get fantasy right.

Making them look just like the standard Chaos termies would be a whole lot of work.

But making "traitor" termies, i.e. imperial termies who've recently turned to Chaos, is pretty easy - just somehow cover or deface any imperial symbols (this can be as easy as painting Chaos symbols over them), and swap any weapons and equipment if necessary to match the Chaos options.

Another option is to also buy some Chaos termies and mix and match the parts, represent traitor termies who've gradually been replacing (or mutating) their old armour.

Not traitor. Greater Good.
