Recently on dakka random words have appeared highlighted in orange for an ad or something. It's quite annoying.

What browser are you using?

Google Chrome.

Probably an add-on you got. Or a cookie. Or a virus.

Surf the net for some answers, and make sure your browser is OK.

I don't use chrome but if you have downloaded any add ons recently then disable them one at a time to find out which one has the advertisement searcher in it.

Another good, and possibly quicker, option is, if your not too attached to your browser right now, to uninstall then reinstall it.

If that doesn't work then someone around here with chrome will help I'm sure. My ultimate suggestion is to install Firefox instead of chrome though.

Try it in another browser. Does the same thing happen?


If so, this is more serious than just an add-on. You definitely are infected.

If not, then it is probably just an add-on you got.
