Hey all,

I've been lurking Dakka for a while, maybe a year ago I even tried a stab at fleshing out and creating my Tau Empire on the forums with both an army list and some early stage pictures of my Fire Warriors. Long story short I thought last summer I was going to get into the game, but senior year of college took over and I haven't had much time to dive into the rule book until now. My army is still being put together - slowly - but I have had to move after graduating for career purposes. Now I reside in the North Shore of the beautiful Massachusetts, leaving behind the only gaming community I (barely) knew.

I have played maybe two or three times ever, and I couldn't begin to explain the game or say that I know the rules at all. I am however a quick learner and willing to put in the time to do so. However I am a hands on learner, not someone that can absorb information through reading walls of text. So I come to you, the Dakka community, to try and find a teacher, or group, in roughly the North Shore area.

Is anyone willing to take a new student of the game under their wing?

I'm a beginner in Northern RI. Where I normally play is Battleground Gaming. There's one in Plainville, and Bedford.
It's a bit of a drive for you. But there's a big community of Tau players.

Plainville and Bedford are both a bit of a hike for me, but maybe I'll check it out sometime if my curiosity gets the best of me. Toys n Things on the other hand is about 10-15 minutes from me, maybe I'll stop on in and talk to the guys there and see if they run demo games or anything like that.

Thanks for the info guys!
