Now then!

Recently joined and thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Lee, otherwise known as the RhythmDoctor.

Been playing 40k and Necromunda for some years now, nearly 20 years and have been through numerous armies in that time, I think in order its old metal catachans, orks, chaos marines, space marines, orks, gas masked guardsmen, armoured company, world eaters, renegades, then back to orks again.

I moved over to Brisbane, Australia from the UK around 2 and a half years ago and have firmly bedded myself in. I've been back home and visited a few times but I am NOT attracted to the idea of returning anytime soon...

When I'm not playing 40k I work as a private investment consultant, which satiates my rather expensive passion for precious metals (silver and gold mainly). I'm also a Scottish Rite Freemason, which proves to be a really amusing thing while living in the hippie side of Brisbane (I keep finding myself repeating 'no, we don't sacrifice children or drink blood, regardless of what David Icke says)

I also play as percussionist/drummer in a band called Immigrant - I implore you to check our music out via our sites www.reverbnation.com/immigrant and www.soundcloud.com/immigrantmusic.

Look forward to chatting with you all and enjoying Dakka,

Cheers,

Lee/RD

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

Thanks for the welcomes chaps...

I'd say the armies I enjoyed most have been my second time guard and space marines, I'd say I've matured and developed a much better appreciation of armies since then.

I'm really excited to be getting into orks again, I've got heaps more practice with scratch building and plasticard-bashing.

I've gotta say, Dakka's got some incredible scratch builders, Wazzoo is simply awe-inspiring! I'll be attempting a few of his techniques, especially the deffkopta to buggy idea.

Wish I could cast up some cheap wheels, resin casting will definitely be on the agenda soon!

And, vampire? Hehe I've had worse.... I'm quite partial to baiting David Icke fans...
