O.K, so Iv'e been peeking at this forum for years so now its time for me to make a post.

Having collected T'au since the release of their first codex I have decided to 'branch out' a bit. I love the look of Space Marines, but everyone and their mums plays them, which for me is off-putting. Pondering about this I decided to choose Grey Knights, still marines deep down, along with nicer looking models. Also, since I have never used metallic colours before, this army would also be a perfect opportunity to try them out.

Over the next few weeks/ months/ however long it takes me to paint the army I will be posting various pictures of the finished models for you to have a gander at. C&C greatly appreciated.

Can't really see the silver, the blue on the power weapons looks great though.

Any plans for more details to the alien head?

@c9805222 yer, i couldnt get the lighting right.......even in a conservatory :( may need to choose a different background colour.

As with the deamon head I wasnt quite sure what to do. As they squad are purifiers I was thinking maybe a charred head, as if it had been cleansed by flame, but I am unsure on how to achieve this

I like the sort of blue tint the silver has to it and the force weapons are quite nice.

Thanks for your comments. I have been able to retake the photos on my gaming board, giving a better background contrast, white -> silver really wasn't a good idea. These pictures can be seen below. I have also been busy painting more of the Grey Knights - in particular a vulnerable dreadnought (classed as a normal dread - models just look alot nicer and give a more grey knight look) a rhino and 5 more purifiers, bringing it up to a full 10 man squad.

The dreadnought isn't quite finished yet, as I still have to paint the assault cannon along with the base. Also the finished dreadnought will have an autocannon - just waiting for Forge World to deliver it

I have also had a bit of trouble painting the rhino. Painting such a large model silver is quite hard. In my opinion it looks a bit flat, so and ideas would be great. I am also not sure about the red side door.....too much red?? Also, the hatch on the top is my first attempt at free hand. Yes, I know it is quite easy to paint a letter but it took me ages.

so its been an age since I last posted on this blog. ALOT has happened to my Grey Knights since the last post. The army has grown quite a bit. Take a look! I appologise in advance for the photo, it was taken from my phone but ill upload a clearer one at a later date

Converted Inquisitor - based on the new Chaos Warpsmith with a few conversions and (IMO) a terrible green stuff cloak - was my first attempt and photos will be posted later once ive painted it
Librarian in terminator armour - replaced original face with a GK terminator head (i really dont like painting skin!)

so there it is

My next projects are to paint my inquisitor, along with finish and attack the weapons onto both strike squads. Once thats dont I hope to paint the dreadknight.
