I've got a tourney coming up next week. i was going to use:

HQ Big Mek with shock Attack Gun & Cyborg body 105 Pts
Troops 2 X 20 shoota with Power Klaw Knob and a boss poll 170X2 = 340 Pts
Heavy Support 1. 3 Killa Kans with Rokkits 150 Pts
Heavy support 2. 2 Killa Kans with schorchas 80 Pts
Elite 5 lootas 75 Pts ]Totals[/b] 750 PTS

HOWEVER, I just got my hands on one of those brand spanking new DakkaJets and now I have a Urgent need to play with this thing.

So i've come up thist this list:

HQ Warboss with PK , Eavy Armour & cyborg body 100 Pts
Troops 2 X 20 shoota with Power Klaw Knob and a boss poll 170X2 = 340 Pts
Heavy Support 2 Killa Kans with Rokkits 100 Pts
Fast Attack dakka jet with FIghter Ace, twin kinked shoota and a red paint job 135 Pts
Elite 5 loota 75 Pts
Totals [b] 750 PTS

So which one should I use? Should i go with my head (the 1st list) or go with my heart (2nd list)?

so no-one hase any thoughts about this? Does this mean both lists are kick ass and will wipe out any puny army you might have

I'd drop some kans and take a kopter w/ TL rokkits for scout move/suicide killing a primary target.

If you can find 90 points, field 2 kopters as independent units. give more threat range than the kans/much more mobility

outside of that the list looks pretty good

loota x 5 = mandatory

bubble mek = good idea imo, specially since you gonna be runnin' alot.

You could split your troop choices up more, take 1 squad of 20 footsloggers, 12 in a trukk, and then pick up a 3rd troop option of gretchin for obj holding?

As to the comment about splitting up the troops into separate things, I would not advise that. The thing with Orks is that the entire army needs to be able to work together. Putting 1 squad in a trukk will only mean that squad will be footslogging after turn 1, possibly pinned. With this list, I'd go all footslogging, and probably drop the Fighta Jet (even though I'm in love with it) for more kans. Keep the Big Mek, but don't give him a SAG, give him the KFF. It costs less and will do more for your team. The SAG averages at S7 with ap 2, and while this is good against footslogging marines, it wont do well against a mech army at all, which is the current meta. Kan wall is the way to go. Just push your boyz up behind the kans and hope you dont get a spearhead deployment (but with 6th ed coming out in july you wont have to worry much about that ). And last but not least...WAAAAGH! your way to victory.

thanks for that dakka guy. I've decide to go with the kan wall, mainly because the tourney has no comp points and it is going to be one big cheese fest.

I need as many power klaws i can get to cut through all that cheese.

Hey, play what you want. You want to use a model that you like a lot? Play it! Other people shouldn't tell you how to have fun.

I will and do, but sometimes it's nice to bounce things off others.

This tourney i'm going to tomorrow has no comp scores so it going to be tough.

FYI, My little kan wall did great yesterday, got 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss (against the person who came 1st).

Game 5th overall so pretty dam well chuffed with that.

Seeing that i lost a kill points game (4-2) to a mech Dark Eldar Army that had great pleasure in running away from me , i needed soming fast and shooty. The dakka Jet may have gone a big way in ripping though ravengers and venoms. so possibly the 2nd list ??.

My stand out units were:
vs eldar (draw) - rokkit kans
vs Blood Angles - lootas
vs space wolves - rokkit kans
vs Gazgul orks - shoota boys
vs dark eldar, - lootas befoer they died then the schorcha kans
