From: Dennis Courlieux D'Harcourt - Seneschal of Dielon
To: Servius Cornelius Terrianus - Ordinate Munitrae
Ordinate Cornelius:
I am sorry I was unable to meet with you personally during my brief sojourn in St. Oghma. I was attempting to make my way as quickly as possible to Dielon to assure a minimal gap in time between the end of my predecessor's administration and the beginning of my own. However, I would like to use this communique to serve as our first introduction.
I understand that you and my predecessor often found yourselves at odds regarding the annual provision of our small portion of the Imperial Tithe. I hope that I am able to improve upon that admittedly strained relationship.
I was shocked to learn that this year's Tithe had not yet been paid when I reviewed the records of the previous Seneschal. Fortunately, he had begun to gather together the necessary materials to provide our portion of the Imperial Tribute. Unfortunately, and for reasons I can not fully discern, he had prepared only about 60% of the shipment that was due some two months ago. I have immediately dispatched the portion of the Tithe that he had gathered at our storehouse. I hope that the shipment will arrive shortly after this comminque. I assure you that our assets are sufficient to meet the remaining balance, and await only the effort necessary to gather them together, and to dispatch them to St. Oghma. I believe that the remainder of the Tithe will arrive within the next 30 days. I apologize on behalf of my departed predecessor, on behalf of House Valiens and The Great House of Harcourt for the delay.
Your colleague:
Dennis Courlieux D'Harcourt
