Looks like a new company, but they have some sets out and a bunch in concept phases. When some money frees up I'll buy a set and let you know what I think of it. It might be a while though, it turns out babies (my son is five months old now) are expensive, who woulda thunk it?!

Your side is always the "will of the people" the other side is always fundamentalist, extremist, hatemongers, racists, anti- semitic nazies with questionable education and more questionable hygiene. American politics 101.

I think these guys had a kickstarter a while back. Looked like a good concept then.
Nice that they are now for sale.

They've apparently solved the potential problem of their paint not sticking to the rubber, so this looks really good stuff for anyone who wants terrain that will last forever. The only possible downside i see is that obviously it would be fairly difficult to convert.
Definitely pricey, but I have to say that will watch these guys for future releases. I am not a fantasy gamer, so nothing for me just yet.
The Orks are the pinnacle of creation. For them, the great struggle is won. They have evolved a society which knows no stress or angst. Who are we to judge them? We Eldar who have failed, or the Humans, on the road to ruin in their turn? And why? Because we sought answers to questions that an Ork wouldn't even bother to ask! We see a culture that is strong and despise it as crude.
Soo.... The trick to indestructible terrain is to make it out of the same stuff dog toys are. Whatever, as long as it works. I've been using aquarium terrain, might as well hop aisles.

Do you remember that time that thing happened?
This is a bad thread and you should all feel bad
Hey guys, thanks for the notice. And thanks again to all you Dakka folk who help Kickstart us last year!
The terrain has moved on a little from these older videos - it's less spongy now, solid rubber. If anything they're tougher now - I actually take a 10 pound sledge to one in a new video that I've been meaning to post... but it's just so amateur that I'm a bit embarrassed.
For the click-shy, here are the Kickstarter sets...
Ruins:
Walls:
And here are two new sets we've just finished up...
Fallen Columns (not yet painted):
Terrace:
Advanced Terrain: Indestructible, pre-painted 28mm games terrain.
And yes... we are a Hirst Arts licensee!
I wonder how long until Hirst Arts sues them for using their designs as the basis for this products, which I highly doubt was done with licensing.
I like the idea, but ripping off existing IP 1:1 is pretty low.
email sent. This will either go well for them(getting a license to make more) or they will shut down or have to come up with original designs.
I'm all for ripping off huge corporations, but Hirst Arts sure as hell isn't huge, or a corporation. It's a guy, his wife and a lot of silicone rubber.

"Bryan always said that if the studio ever had to mix with the manufacturing and sales part of the business it would destroy the studio. And I have to say – he wasn’t wrong there! ... It’s become the promotions department of a toy company." -- Rick Priestly
I also don't take credit for my casts as my own work. Nor do I show them unpainted. Nor do I say what models I recast specifically.
And again, I don't mind stealing from multimillion dollar corporations, but mom and pop shops are off limits.
If it is done with permission, I would at least say they should cite the actual designer on their site, which I didn't see.
I still think they should "man up" and design something original if they are going to sell it. Perhaps I can sell my recasts in rubber and get away with it.

Ha! so it does. Well now I just feel like an alarmist.

The email was to Bruce Hirst, and it said that if it was licensed then to just ignore my email, which is what I'm sure he'll do.

My bad, I forgot to call out the fact we are officially licensed. This comes up every time I post an image on Dakka, I'll have to watermark the pictures with a licensee notice or something in the future.
That was a certainly a bit shrill ... but it's nice to see the community looking out for Hirst.

I got the a set from the Kickstarter project. It is the best terrain I ever purchased. I am really interesting in the new items. I am surprised that I never received any email for the update.
Your stuff looks great, AT. As someone who owns a lot of Hirst Art molds and has tons of castings already, I'm not your targeted audience, but I'm glad you're working with those guys. I visit their booth every GenCon and usually leave with at least 1 new mold...
Backed the kickstarter.. Awesome terrain I'm really happy with.
We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.
I like the designs, the idea of durable terrain is great and I think this could be perfect for making some already painted planets for spaceships games etc
