Got bit by the confrontation bug again for some reason, so I've been going through my old stuff and doing some painting. I got plenty enough figs to do both sides with (mostly griffons, Lions and Wolfen), but the problem is I don't have my rules anymore. The rulebooks are cheap enough online and I know Rackham put scans of all the cards on their website after the prepaints came out, but the site went down a while ago. A day spent scouring the internet for em really didn't turn up anything. Anybody got those old files sitting on their comp they could email me?

I know there's a new version announced that's supposed to be an updated 3.5, but aside from the initial announcement back at GAMA there's been no news about it. I just hope they make armybooks this time around like they did for the prepaints (except, y'know, for the GOOD version of the rules ) and please oh please make them use the round bases like the prepaints & AT-43 had, they're so much nicer looking than the square bases.

These should have the majority of cards for download.

Unfortunately, CMoN's C3 Revival will utilize square bases. They're a crucial element of the gameplay, so there was never a chance for a round base switch. I doubt they're going to make army books. Frankly, I doubt they're going to do ANYTHING with the world except release new figures. They simply don't have the manpower (and talent) to expand upon the universe of Aarklash, plus they'll have their own game going (Wrath of Kings). If you're hoping for Confrontation the way it used to be pre-PPP, then you're in for a disappointment.

You, sir, are a gentleman and a saint! I was looking for that stuff for most of the afternoon, but all the google results lead to old forums or websites that don't exist anymore.

As for the bases, the squares did play a large part in determining LOS and keeping combat tidy, limiting how many creatures you could fight at any one time etc, but I would hardly call them a crucial gameplay element and it would be very easy to change the game to use round bases. I only bering it up because the square bases rackham used were so terrible (flimsy and thin and prone to warping) and the PPP bases are so good. Love the texture on the round bases, looks much like the style that rackham used on all their bases pre-ragnarok, after which they changed to the grey cork rocks and green-painted sand that was supposed to look like grass but didn't really.

Oh well, even if it's the exact same thing as before with nothing new then I'll settle for a rerelease just fine. None of the fantasy skirmish games to come out since have been as good as good as confrontation 3 was. It's always something whether it's the rules, the scale, the figs or simply the setting. And if it gets all the old guys back into and the new guys to check it out, I'll be perfectly content.

Threadomancy activate. The link to the card scans are dead. Does anyone have scans of the old c2/c3 cards as jpgs or pdfs? Anybody... Bueller? I tried rackscan but am not seeing any actual cards...

You're better off starting your own thread asking for it if these links are dead, because the age of this thread could well confuse some people. If it's been 2 years, you're really better off just starting your own rather than doing some threadomancy, which is against forum rules.

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...
