OK so here are some LotD scouts i made up, now i know that LotD colors are black and flames but i wanted to paint these guys with the idea of them being ghosts and not seen as much as the red flameing guys of death that the rest of the LotD is.

So i did a few things that i have never done before.

i base coated in black like always then i layered their clothing in Caledor sky (ultramarine blue) , followed by a med dry brush of Lothern Blue (enchanted blue) then an even lighter dry brush of leadbleacher (boltgun medal) to give it a sort of sparkle like they are shifting in and out of cloak. i tried some different things with their chest armor like painting the wings a solid color then dry brushing boltgun metal over it to see the diffrence only to find out all their chest armor is blocked by their own arms so you cant see it any way

I also did some different things with their cloaks as well, was hard to do flames when the armor is not flat, still working on what i like the best for flames but i feel like this did not turn out that bad, this is only my 5th set of models so i hope the 6th set turns out better

To many unpainted models to count.

looking pretty nice, but you should try blending next time you do flames like that.
