Please repost your list without mentioning the points costs of particular wargear. Thanks ~ Manchu

I think this is a great anti armor list, that is very mobile and ready for all sorts of destruction. I deal with razorback spam and vindicator spam alot, and two long fang squads Is enough for me, you seem pretty stacked.

should do well. logan is a combat beast and if a can get him to join a hunters squad during the game he is unbelievable. the lone wolf is my favourite unit, he is a pain for the enemy and does very well against marines

Don't put the points value next to everything - we'll get in trouble with the long arm of GW. Automatically Appended Next Post: I don't understand the purpose of putting Long Fangs w/ ML's in the drop pod. Did you mean to put the multi-melta's and Logan in there? i would do that and exchange the cyclone missile launcher for a better CC weapon. A chainfist for popping vehicles? Or since all of the multi-meltas are likely to do that for you, maybe a wolf-claw + bolt pistol to wreck face on the infantry after you 'splode their transports.
Also, get rid of the lone wolf and put in a squad of 5 scouts with a meltagun. Automatically Appended Next Post: Yes definitely. You can drop pod the MM's right in the middle of your opponent's vehicles. Get out and use Logan's "relentless" to shoot all of your MM's on the same turn. You'll trounce 2 vehicles at least - go for the land raiders. Then use your Missile Long Fangs to blast more Rhinos, and razorbacks to soften up the infantry that pop out. The Grey hunters land close to Logan for CC back up.

I find the lone wolf great in battle as i often play lists with drop podding dreadnoughts and the lone wolf will deal with them. also the lone wolf is good at supporting the small hunter in combat. .
wolf scouts are good but they need a wolf gaurd with c/m pf for more flexibility.
the cyclone missile launcher may get taken out and a wolf claw added in and use the remaining points for mayby 2 plasma cannons for the long fangs: this would let me split fire and kill some troops, i will see if 5 mm shots and 2 melta shots is enough to blow up 2 targets but i feel it will as the rockets dont have a high success rate againt high armoured target, although i will be going for side armour shot see only game time will tell.
the real test for this list will be against mech gaurd.

If that Long Fang Pack Leader shoots his melta gun, the whole pack cannot split fire, You are aware of that, right?
Also, there was a FAQ, which said that the model with Cyclone Missile Launcher can shoot its storm bolter on the same turn as well, but there was nothing in that FAQ about firing combi-weapons. Alas, at that time, the Codex: Space Wolves was not out yet and there were no models, which could have been equipped with Cyclone and Combi-bolters, but You may probably run into arguments with other players. For me, I've solved it by taking storm bolters on my CML WG.
Lone Wolf gets even better with two Fen.wolves as extra wounds.
Btw, Wolf scouts don't need necessarily a WG with combimelta - they can be run on the cheap as well.

That's a good point. In that case, you're probably better off with vanilla bolt pistol + chainsword (or BP + PW if the codex allows that) in order to deal with the inevitable CC that will happen after you 'splode is vehicles.

Agree.

He can even put a Power Fist on him, which is not very cost-effective, however, since the model will have one attack anyways. It's best to keep him as an ablative wound, plain and simple with chainsword and BP. In fact, if Logan stays with them, he is pretty decent at CC and there will be another WG with CML - I'd keep him as he is, with power weapon and storm bolter, so any attacker will meet 6 Power weapon attacks from Logan (I am hoping for that Counter-attack Ld test ), then 3 power weapon attacks from WG and then some pesky attacks from Long Fangs. Also, Logan can switch to his power-fist mode or use the Living Legend for that extra +1 attack on all friendly models within 18".

dam a forgot about the pack leader rule, never even occured to me. oh well thats 1 melta shot less. av used a cyclone with a combi melta and never had a problem with other games so that wont be a problem. al put a wolf claw on the cyclone.
4 mm shots 1 melta shot and 2 rockets should be enough. I should be hitting side armour most of the time so most things will blow up.
a think al keep the pack leader with cc weapons just incase of assualt.
i have used scouts a few times but i feel this list should be good enough without them. if a need to add them i have the models anyway

You might want to check out this forums rules HERE, as it seems you may have missed them in the sticky at the top of the forum.
That aside, your list isn't bad, could use some tweaking to maximize the kind of list your making.
This is something I would look at for this kind of list:
HQ
Logan
Rune Priest
ELITE
Dreadnought
+ MM, Drop Pod
Dreadnought
+ MM, Drop Pod
Scouts (5)
+ MM, PW
TROOPS
Grey Hunters (8) (Rune Priest in any of these vehicles)
+ MM, PW, Standard, Rhino
Grey Hunters (8)
+ MM, PW, Standard, Rhino
Grey Hunters (8)
+ MM, PW, Standard, Rhino
HEAVY SUPPORT
Long Fangs (5)
+ ML x 4
Long Fangs (5)
+ ML x 4
Long Fangs (5) (Logan in this Pod)
+ MM x 4, Drop Pod
I didn't calculate out the points, so you may have to tweak it but the general guide is there.
With this, you'll drop Logan's Squad and 1 Dreadnought in on turn 1 while rolling for the remaining dread through out the game. You could drop a dread if you feel you really need the WG with Combi-Melta & PF. But be aware that'd you'd need to swap a GH's Rhino for a Drop pod or you'll be dropping Logan and his unit solo.
This allows for immediate pressure from the start of the game, the scouts (provided your rolls are decent) also add the pressure on his table edge. forcing your opponent to deal with potentially 3 deadly units right off the bat. With 2 units of Long Fangs to help give suppressor fire with 8 MLs. As your GH's move up the table to either batter the enemy or capture objectives.
Any who, best of luck to you.
