I'm to spend around 1500 dollars on a computer, but I am not sure how to spend my money on the correct parts to maximize my gaming experience.

So far I have this...

Any suggestions?

I would go for an alien ware. Great for gaming.

Alienware is hideously overpriced. Methinks its for people who have no idea how gaming rigs work

Anyways I would suggest using Newegg, though thats just me since I used them before with great success. Are there any preferences? Like intel, amd, etc?

In my opinion you should make your own computer. Its cheaper. Way cheaper. Use newegg.com and its a breeze, but you are going to have to look up tutorials on how all the parts fit together and what not. If that's not an option then I'm not sure how I can help.

Build your own. If you don't know how, ask around. It's daunting, but not as hard as it seems.

Alienware, since being bought out by Dell is basically a $500 computer in a $1500 case. They're gak and no one should ever pay for one.

Building one is the cheapest way to go. Second cheapest way is to check sites like iBuyPower, who will build a PC to your specifications are prices much lower than you'd get from a mainstream producer.

Building a PC however really is simple, especially when there's a mountain of youtube videos and online tutorials with very detailed instructions on how to do it. The hardest part is getting all the hardware together and doing the pre-purchase research to make sure there aren't any glaring incompatibilities.

I'm with the DIY crowd. I took the leap a couple months ago, with no special computer background.

techpowerup.com is a great forum for helping design and build a comp. I they have one forum called 'system builders advice', there's pretty much nerds always available to help you put it together in real time. Just make a thread:

http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=61

I found this guy's articles to be good for generally learning about / deciding on components. If you follow the links there are articles for each component:

Good luck!
