Hello,

I've been playing WHFB since '01 and 40k since the 3ed Necron book came out. I also dabble in LOTR SBG with my Moria and Easterlings and play Mercenaries in Warmachine. Over the years I've played loads of different armies but I've decided to consolidate recently and focus on painting and playing with one or two main armies. So my 5 40k armies became 2, Black Templar and Eldar. The Eldar were sort of an accident. For a while there I only played Black Templar because they are the best. Why play a lesser chapter? Then a friend of mine challenged me to play a non-imperial army and since no one in the area was actively playing Eldar, I decided it was time to put on the spandex with the Space Elves. It's been fun and challenging. I have to say I enjoy painting and converting my Space Marines, but for playing games I'd rather use the Eldar. They are more satisfying to win with. It kind of nice to not be part of the MEQ crowd sometimes. I love crushing SW and GK players in my shop with my Eldar the facial expressions are always priceless.

For fantasy I've sold off all my armies save for my mighty Dwarf host (8k) and some choice OOP metal models from older armies. It doesn't really matter as my area has more or less stopped playing fantasy entirely. Rather sad.

My main thing is gaming, as I have little free time so I usually spend it on playing games versus painting. Hopefully, that might change. I've had some ideas for a Painting thread and doing like 1 model a day. We will see. I'd like to get better on techniques with blending and highlights.

Til then, check you spandex and don't tip the Wraith Guard....they don't like it.

Force be with you,
Tusken Sith Lord

My Dwarf host is mighty and I made sure to get all the metal Long beards, Iron Breakers and so forth. I love my dwarfs.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
