Hi folks,
I'm often hearing that Shadow of the warp gives some form of potection against Insta-gibbing Grey Knights; but conversely I heard that for the Grey Knight force weapons they don't need to take Ld tests to use them - is this correct? If so, how does SotW provide any defence against Grey Knight force weapons as what I keep reading?

Many thanks for any help on this!

I believe that it is only in the case of against demons that they proc without a leadership test. against everything else they need a leadership test

Brotherhood Banner, as well.

@OP: Basically, SITW helps by making the psychic tests to activate them harder.

as above, terminators with a brotherhood banner do not need the psychic test, everything else does.

I thought the banner made them pass the test automatically? No roll to be affected by Shadow in the Warp, but it's still a test that can be nullified by Psychic Hoods and the like.

Thanks guys - for the Brotherhood Banner, does this mean that no roll is needed, or that they pass regardless of the result?

Basically can they roll such that the banner passes the test, but the result triggers a Perils of the Warp attack?

No roll is needed, so Perils of the Warp isn't a problem when you have a Brotherhood Banner.

They automatically pass, so no reason to roll the dice.
