If you're going to Games day in Chicago on July 28th and you're wondering what all will be there that you can participate in, then wonder no longer. The Club Tables also known as Community Tables) for Games Day Chicago have been posted:

You can find work in progress pictures of the 14th Black Crusade table by Snake Eyes Gaming here:
http://snakeyesgaming.blogspot.com/

The 14th Black Crusade is a more than 20 ft. long table that is modeled after the interior of a chaos cruiser. If you were at Games Day North America last year you may remember our table Armageddon: Season of Blood, the table with lights and running water.

That's very cool...but what will you do with it?

The secret to painting a really big army is to keep at it. You can't reach your destination if you never take any steps.

I build IG...lots and lots of IG.

My guess is that they'll push little toy painted soldiers around on it while whispering "pew pew". That never gets old for me!

Very cool table so far btw! Do you have enough space corridors though?

The ship corridors are not made from zone Mortalis. with the exception of the hangar and engine area the rest is custom built stuff.

We also have an accompanying 2x2 bridge and 4x4 zone mortalis table that players can take models to. The Zone Mortalis is being used as the machine spirit vault. Players that make it to certain hatches can take their models to another table to dry and disable the ship. Likewise with the bridge.

semi full set of pictures here

Thanks for the feedback, any criticism would be appreciated.

Do you need any experienced painters to help paint anything for the gamesday event?

I'll ask Great Wolf and Heretic to check the thread but at the moment i think 90% of our models we will be bringing with us for people to use are done.

I'm currently working on converting some guardsman to renegades using the spray white then wash technique as well as adding more detail for the Zone Mortalis.

Were taking around 30 different 500 point armies for people to use on the tables.

Everyone from Dakka who comes to Gamesday is welcome to stop by and chat or join in on the fun.

As always with our tables, bring a small force you painted up yourself. We are working on finishing the table as the Gubbinz noted. A lot of the miniatures are already done and ready to go as we have been painting those up throughout the year. Most of the work is on the table itself at this point. As Gubbinz said any questions or critiques would be appreciated as we are always looking for ideas for this table, though we are wrapping it up, but also for next years table already. We continue to try and push some boundaries with the tables and have been working out ideas to make a functioning elevator in the hangar area, but haven't figured out economically how to do it. The key point here is economically.

If you are going to Games Day, then stop by the table and say Hi. Talk with us a little while and any suggestions for next year, we would be glad to hear them.
