The are only connected in that QT picked the name as a reference to the older Django films, but it isn't connected outside that.

And that's discounting the overt racist remarks.

I like what I see so far. Good actors + Tarantino. The combination hasn't disappointed me yet.

I'm a huge Tarantino fan, and this looks like it could be pretty awesome.

Just watch, Django will be in it for like 5 minutes and the rest of the movie will be about a lady who owns a theater or something

There's one in Sukiyaki Western Django, a film that stars Tarantino as a sort of narrator character.

And I suspect we'll see the gatling gun make a cameo appearance in this movie as well.
