Possessed Khorne Marine Covered in Spikes

I bought this guy the other week when the hero painting competition was on in GW stores. I bought some of the new paints, two brushes and painted him up in store on the Friday afternoon and won the comp for a WHFB hero figure the next day.
I was quite pleased with him, especially as he only took about 4 hours in total to paint. (Good for me!) Some of the details like the verdigris on the armour and the glossy wounds haven't really come out in the pics, but I'm sure you get the idea.

I've just got him back from the display cabinet to re-base him and use him as a Nurgle Herald in 40k.

Purple and green are a great combo, look very rotten. Well done for winning with him one day after painting.

Swish.

the skin highlights look great. With that color scheme I could see this being used in a Dark Eldar army as a 'counts as' grotesque. Nice work
