In short, I recently obtained these mystery figs from a family member. i have no idea what they are, and they dont have any identifying markings apart from the occasional number.

I think they date back to the 70s, or early 80s (long before I started gaming).
Judging by style and size. Lack of slotta bases is no clue as the majority of miniature makers did this (including GW in their early days ).
Apart from the (maybe) orkish figures, the rest could be from any fantasy game of the period (Fantasy Warriors?) and the knights likewise.

As to how to link the pics. Once you have them in the gallery:

In your gallery, there is a box on the right with "share" and a whole lot of links. Copy and paste the top one (forums) into your post.

Et voila, the pics are then in your post. Like this.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Wow, neat stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if they're older than the '70s, they have that flat look of old toy soldiers.

If you don't already know about it and don't get an answer here, I suggest trying over on http://theminiaturespage.com/ --some real grognards over there and I bet there's someone ancient enough to identify these.

After letting these things collect dust for a little while, i finally got around to some research and found out that these are Jack Scruby miniatures, circa 1975. Are there any old school gamers out there that can add to this? do they have any kind of value these days?

Old minis vary quite a bit. These days the best way to judge value is to do a search on ebay for "completed listings".

Best of luck!

I'd say soldiers armed with pool noodles would have some unique collector value.
