Looking for some C&C on a Deathwing army list I'm working toward

For your speeder why not take a Typhoon instead of the Assault cannon? Cheaper and a bit better IMHO.

Not to much of a fan with the chaplain. I would get two more typhoon speeders for him.

But as you said its not super competitive I think it will do fine.

I like it, i havnt tryed deathwing are they fun to play?

I prefer Belial with SS/TH, as he lasts longer.
The chaplain is nice and fluffy; However, you can not guarantee the charge and your squads do not need much help in cc. The points would be better spent elsewhere.

1)The CML is too good a value not to bring.

2+3)The sarg. might as well upgrade as powerweapon and stormbolter is not very good. SS/TH with CML makes them last longer, else just do not take the powerfist as the storm bolter is pretty meh, chainfist could be all right.

I am never sure about ven. status; However, they do look cool. I think extra amour is worth the points here.

The speeder really ought to be a typhoon, at the moment it is a little expensive and more likely to die due to its small range weapons.

The thing I like about this list is that there are only 20 models. It should be cheap (by 40K standards) and you could paint it up to table top standard in a single weekend. With 5 weekends, and a little talent, you could make this a best painted army.

1 Typhoon speeders are so much better than any other variant (since the FAQ). At 75 points it is worth it to have 3.

2. Venerable Hellfires(ML/TLLC): They look good put they don't put out a ton of firepower but if you want to use them go ahead.

3. Lightning claws are out don't even bother if you play in a competitive area you will face GK and DE who will crush you for using I4.

4. TH/SS is always a good choice. Ditto on CML (Model up a th/ss/cml terminator.They are great fun. I should know I have 5.)

5. And last but not least if you wanna have fun build the lsit as it appeals to you and pay no attention to me because the tournament maxsimized list is no fun to play with.
