Eye of Terror... I think

So just to start off this is not another whine fest about how GW has raised prices for no reason (though I will say its still BS).

The point of this thread is to discuss if it will affect how you buy or collect your models, which pretty much is the hobby. lol I Used to buy around 3 box sets of either starter boxes and vehicles once a month till my army was built and painted or a few blisters and a couple box sets ect you get the idea: about 300$ a month. I can no longer do that. I still love this hobby and will play it till I die, BUT I will now definitely change my buying strategy to just a couple models a month... maybe like $100. That is my story and how it will affect me.

Now my question is this... how will the price hike effect you as gamers? In the long run how do you think it will effect GW with such extreme price changes?

Oddly I think the price hike may have helped me (bear with me on this one) in that now when I go to spend £50 a month on miniatures, due to a combination of disposals income and a sheer lack of self restraint, it will get me marginally fewer models, increasing the chances that I will actually finish painting said models by the time I go to buy a few more on the next pay day. That said alot of my stuff comes from 3rd party stockists and ebay, so with the new price increase I'm still paying less than I previously would have ordering direct from GW (darksphere is awesome).

All in all I paint, then play occasionally. So I dont need a tonne of models to get instant gratification, the painting process really keeps me interested. I can see how gamers who buy to fit an army list right of the bat are going to suffer, or who like unit redundancy in their lists and ship alot.
