So the recent release of the Stormtalon and Ork Bommer combined with another thread on the Night Spinner have left me wondering if there are any other legal units out there that are not listed in their Codices. I know White Dwarf used to do more game related stuff like this, but does anybody know of any others?

I don't write the rules. My ego just lives and dies by them one model at a time. |

There's the Eldar Nightspinner, and a bunch of Apocalypse datasheets on GW's website and in old WD articles. There used to be a lot of extra rules in Chapter Approved which led to rules for various Space Marine chapters, different kinds of Imperial Guard armies, and monsters for use in Kill Team games. Unfortunately these went the way of the dodo, but GW is starting to reintroduce content into WD in the form of units. There have been a couple for Fantasy too.

All there is right now is the Stormtalon, Ork flyers, and the Night Spinner.
My guess is that there will be more in the future and that any updates will be placed into new print codices(and the Electronic copies GW is now coming out with)

Many Forgeworld models and rules are regular-40k approved, but a lot of people view them with mistrust.

I really need to stay away from the 40K forums. |

Forgeworld says they are legal in 40K games, but the 40K books don't say that Forgeworld units are legal. So be mindful of people complaining about that.
I am pretty laid back about stuff like that personally. As long as you have the rules for whatever you are using on you (either FW, WD, printed from the GW site, or one of my FLGS homebrew Codex) then I am 100% fine with you using it.

Titans. Are they legal though? If I'm wrong, feel free to bash me to bits.

Tau did have Human Auxiliaries in WD, though being pre-5th edition I doubt they're tournament-legal anymore, going the way of Chapter Approved.

Not 40k, no, but they are made for large-scale settings like Apocalypse.
