as it said on the thread title, im starting an IG army based on the fallout 3 dlc operation anchorage, other than white for the armour i cant find the right shades for the tunics.
anyone got any ideas?

Looking at this http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/File:Anchorage.JPG it appears they have a light blue for the armor and a dark grey for the cloth parts. Is that what you're looking for?

I like your idea, sorry but i have rather limited knowlage of the new GW paints. But maybe you can use the dakka advised convertion charts etc to get the equvilants.

In the old colours i would have done a base coat of the armour in a light grey probaly 1:1 skull white:codex grey with a very light wash of either asuremans blue or baland black, then highlight by mixing the up the grey into more skull white to give the correct highlight tone, then add apporate battle damage how you see fit.

Tunics blend up through the grey scales untill you get the dark grey cloth colour that is needed of the anchorage uniform.

Please post up what you do for your scheme as i will be intersted to see how you have done, along with the other fallout fans there are on dakka! And dont forget to get a few fatman's into your army.

the fatmans could take a while to do, im useless at scratch builds. but the old paint advice could come in handy as most independant stockists still dont have the new paint range, so i'll try it out thanks.

No problem, i scratch built/kitbashed a fatman for one of my marines, was fairly simple to do, just a few bits of sprue cut down, half a hunter killer missle, a melta bomb and a bit from the manifactorum building.

Heads, weapons, and 1 backpack set that would fit your theme fairly well. Never a fallout fan, but I did a quick Google, and the Biohazard heads and weapons will be right up your alley.

now thats how to avoid scratchbuilding, i'll order some respirators after exam season is over.

i've started to paint up some old cadians using leftover adeptus battlegray and so i could probably finish them by saturday and post the pictures then.
i would probably have more time if it wasnt the middle of exam season as well

i've got a box of Sm scouts to paint up for the army ( i use them as stormtroopers) and the pictures should be online for those by next wednesday so.......

iv'e found a paint scheme for the tunics.
basecoat imperial primer
drybrush codex gray
wash devlan mud

Just for the heads, I would consider getting some liquid green stuff and adding some face masks, if you really want to go Anchorage style
