Without actually checking I assume this is whats on LR Crusaders; in which case the answer is more like a claymore. It's an anti personnel weapon that discharges shrapnel rather than launching grenades.

They are less focused on doing actual damage and mainly focused on just shooting shrapnel all over the place to force you to keep your head behind cover instead of getting ready for the charge.
