I have just come back from the Wintercon tournament in Canberra.

I was talking to one of the retailers there and they said there would be no price increase in Australia this year on GW mini's.

Maybe they will put price increases on hold here till the rest of the world catches up?

Thoughts anyone?

Australia

I'm hoping the massive drop in customers down here recently has been a bit of a wake up call and they are passing over us with the price increases. Of course it's entirely possible they are just waiting a few months.

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

Interesting that you say that.

There were just as many Warmachine/Hordes and Infinity products for sale as there were 40K in the shop stalls.

There has been a downturn in sale for GW in Australia.

The gaming tables were majority 40K still.

Time will tell if they plan to put the prices up a little down the road.
