Hey guys this is a the first Crimson Fist that I have painted up to test the colour scheme I wanted to use. I think it turned out pretty good for a first try! The only thing I'm not satisfied with is the fist. I painted a base of Mechrite Red, layered on Red Gore, highlighted with Blood Red, and washed with Gryphonne Sepia. I think it turned out a little too maroonish. Not sure if it should look like that or be more of a bright red. Let me know what you think!

looks absolutely great!

though i would advise painting the model separately from the base, and sticking it on the already finished base. that way it doesn't look like it is being swallowed by the very earth itself.

But terminators are heavy!

Looks decent, the edge highlighting is a bit rough and I don't have any advice to offer you on how to fix that, as I suck at edge highlighting. In places it seems to go to electric blue or almost white, which doesn't work IMO.

For the armor I did:

Necron Abyss
Regal Blue
Ultramarines Blue
Space Wolves Grey

I think maybe I'll try Shadow Grey next time? Not really sure what to try.

Looks good to me, but I agree on the drastic change for that edge highlighting, it is a bit off in my opinion. I'm not so great with the edging myself, but what I like to do is just add a bit of white into the mixture of the the next lightest, which in your scheme I guess is Ultramarine Blue? I find it allows for the edge highlighting to be there, but still be less drastically noticeable. Take that with a grain of salt, however, as my painting isn't exactly stellar.

Otherwise, I quite like it. I think the maroon color you got out of the fist is actually a good match for the rest of the scheme.

Looking nice! Still, hate to be that guy, but the barrels need drilling.

You Should make battle scratches on his armor( obvious places of wear and tear) with the last highlight color make the shape of the scar. then in the middle of that scar paint boltgun metal.other wise its very nice!

Nice really like it!

We are winged salvation, but we are a terrible, final salvation, and our wings embrace the horizon with fire. We are the Blood Angels. To confront us is to die, and death is my remit, my reality, my unbounded domain. I have known death, and defeated it, claimed it as my own. To my cost, to my strength, death is my one gift to bestow, and I am nothing if not generous.
