I just got reminded of a song from circa 1996-1999.And i can't for the life of me remember the song title or who sung it/produced it.
It had a guy singing (in a dodgy offkey voice) dun dun dun dun, dun dun daa daa x3 , then dun dun de dernnernenernuh, dun dun denarnarnarnar ,dun dun dun dun. (that line was so helpful i know )

It was a dance/house track and mentioned something about an answering machine message at the start or was an answering machine message.
It may have been a cover/remix of a carl cox track, it released in Australia sometime between 1996 and 1999.
I know this is a long shot but ive tried looking for it myself and failed miserably, so i'm hoping for one of you people to do the hail mary pass and know the song title.

From the description I think its where's my money I think the original version is by TC but I'm not 100%, hope that helps

I shoulda made this more clear the guy actually is singing "dun, dun, dun dun, ect" he's singing the melody of a song he heard.
