Older Ork Boy? not even positive its GW, I have about 20 that were converted to hold a Fantasy sheild instead of the bolter but there were 3 like this one that had not been altered. i would love to convert the others back to use in my 40k army. any ideas?

2ed Ork Boy with a bolt pistol - came in the 2ed srarter set with some monopose Gretchin with autoguns and the monopose Tactical marines with plug-in weapons.

Wow... that just reminds me how far GW's minis have come. I remember having some of these. God knows where I picked them up from. I was a poor kid back in those days, and would pick up any second hand mini I could afford and do some horrific 'conversion' to it.

Agreed, I had a mob of these same mini's, along with some of the old 2nd ed Grots, mixed in with my 3rd ed Ork army and Ioved them.
They may be dated, but they have a certain "character" that I enjoy.

I'm contemplating augmenting my wife's orks with Gorka Morka

Think I have that old cut-out dredd somewhere... Must use it in my next battle! (Should be legit if I use the base it was suplied with!)

Haha, i loke that... i have 20 of them. 3 are as seen in photo, the rest had been converted (badly by original owner) to hold a fantasy shield so i will leave the 3 that are original and convert the rest back using spare blastas and bits i have from the same bits purchase these guys came in.

Since you all found that so easy how bout a few more?

Late Rogue Trader / Early 2nd ed Khorne Berzerkers. (metals are RT, plastics are 2nd ed)

Guy in the middle is from a Tallarn (Imperial Guard) heavy weapons team from 2nd ed. The other guys are from Warzone.

Space Marine scouts. Originally released with Tyranid Attack / Advanced Space Crusade, but I believe they were also sold separately for a while.

Actually, second from last is a FASA mini from the Battletech range. IIRC it was called the "DaiKatana". The final one is nothing to do with the Battletech range.

Agreed. Im a big fan of leaving classic minis as original as possible.

Yeah, I had Battletech and Mechwarrior reversed in my head.

This one:

is one of Mark Copplestone's powered armour troopers.
(He used to work for GW in the 1980s).

Either his "Future warriors" line for Grenadier or his current Future wars line in Copplestone castings (FW12).
Given the slotta base, it's the earlier one for Grenadier miniatures - as that line used them - and his current ones have an integral cast base.


The blurry ones flanking the Hatamoto-chi are from RAFM's STAR KHAN line, Marine reaction units. The one on the left is a Corpsman tech. The other a trooper of some kind.
Some of this stuff is still available from Noble Knight games.

Getting close to the end of needed ID's so again thanks all for the assistance.

Ork or Ogre of some kind? Not GW i believe but might try a conversion into a boss of somekind.
