Simple name a list you would like BF to release. I would like to see them make pure FFI list. Where they are the bread and butter not some attachments. Also I would like to see an Volksstrum, and Werwolf units.Maybe give them some partisan rules/style. Also some more lists that use Assault Rifles. I would also like to see some late war monsters list/ weird weapons of WW2 lists.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Werwolf

EDIT: I made a mistake and said Volksgrenadier in stead of Volksstrum.

A pure FFI list? Wouldnt be much fun... Blokes on bicycles with the odd rifle. If you mean a Free French Army formation, then just use a US list.

Well Volksgrenadier were just renamed infantry divisions, with some having a higher number of automatic weapons. So really just use a late-war infantry list.

Werwolf? Yer... A couple of blokes living in a wood and surrendering to the first US troops they see should work for that... You do know it was more an attempt at forming a terrorist cell type resistance movement, not a military formation.

I would argue that they could make a pure FFI list and be intersting as well.

Also I made a mistake. I meant Volksstrum (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkssturm) not Volksgrenadier. I admit that are against you probably know much more about any military subject than me, and yes they mostly did surrender to the western allies rather than fight (Hell, a man I know well in my town was was given a Panzerfaust and told to fight. He threw it away and surrender ASAP.). With all that being said didn't the Werwolf units fight to the death against the Soviets?

No, not at all. They were a poorly organized, led, equipped and supported Nazi hit squad.

Yes... The Werwolf belong in the realms of Nazi fantacists really.

As for Volksturm, some units fought quite well on both fronts, especially on the East. Those defending Poznan for example.

As regards the FFI/Maquis they only fought a couple of pitched battles as such (one in June 1944 and the fight on the Vercors Plateau are two such examples).

Of course if you did FFI you would want Nancy Wake as your special character... One of the few women in WW2 to kill an SS soldier with her bare hands.

1st Canadian Div during the fighting for Italy.

A PDF list for the 2nd Canadian Armd Div supporting the troops on the D-Day landings and a PDF for the 1st Canadian Para Bn during there drop on D-day.

SAS commando list to represent those troops dropped behind enemy lines, working with the Free French and other resistance orgs while the Allies moved into central Europe.

I think it'd be cool to see a French Foreign Legion at Bir Hakeim list, although you could probably just use a modified British or American list to do it.

I'm also really hoping they do a Volksgrenadier list at some point. Probably Confident Trained with more SMG and Assault Rifle teams, and a bicycle reconnaissance platoon. You could just use a LW German infantry list, but most of them don't really address the differences in quality and equipment yet, as BF hasn't really gotten much past Normandy, Bagration, and Market Garden yet. Once they start on the Battle of the Bulge I bet we'll see a Volksgrenadier list show up, at least I hope so.

I'm wondering if they going to create any LW Italian lists. Correct me if I am wrong, but weren't there still were Italian Fascists fighting for Italy/Germany up until the end of the war. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italian_Social_Republic

They are suppose to be covered in the LW Italy campagain book or books. When are they going to be released? No idea. I was brought up over on the BF FoW forums. As well as my above mentioned 1st CDN Div.

I would like LW Italians too, but I don't know if there were that many separate Italian units still in operation near the end of the war in Italy.

I think there is a FoW pdf briefing that features the RSI; Italians that still fought on the Axis side in LW.

Yes there is: http://www.flamesofwar.com/hobby.aspx?art_id=217

I just found it on their site, it looks to be currently under review. I might have to print this when they are done reviewing it and try it with my Bersaglieri for fun, though it is defiantly a very weak list currently (I though Italian anti-tank was weak in mid-war!)

I'd really like to see some EW Experimentals and LW Leviathans lists/units. I know MW Monsters was sort of a flop but I just picked up a ton of MWM minis and they are, by far, some of the nicest BF minis I've seen. It must be the fact that the molds were new and weren't used to the point of disrepair but my T-43 tank horde will look great.

Soviet Airborne PDF - an EW list for their (non-jump) participation in the Winter War and a MW list for their jumps at Kanev and their vital (non-jump) participation at Kursk.

There are FFL lists in Burning Empires.

Full FFL lists? I knew they had FFL support choices (since they released the FFL Sapper platoon), but I didn't realize they had a whole FFL list. If so, I'll have to check it out!

Edit: I just checked BF's website and it looks like Burning Empires does contain a full FFL list. I'm surprised I missed that, I remember looking at the Spotlight article before but I must have overlooked it or just forgotten.

I'd like to see an Italian list for the early war French campaign. I'd also like to see Winter War Finns and Soviets.

Not that I'm aware of though, IIRC, they didn't have a huge impact on any battles in the LW period.

Well they fought almost exclusively as ground troops other than a couple of very poor airborne operations, such as at Dubari which was such a fiasco it put them off trying again.

Despite really being the pre-war pioneers of large-scale airborne drops, they were unable to turn that into operational reality during the war. They fought as elite grounds troops, and did have an effect on the battlefield, as evidenced by the Guards Airborne at Kursk.

Any LW Soviet infantry list would do to replicate a LW Soviet Airborne formation.
