I'm not sure on the points cist but is this a god (or legal) army?
Warband 1
Dain ironfoot
5 kahzad guard
5 iron guard
2 warriors 1 with horn and 1 with banner

Warband 2
Murin and drar
11 dwarf rangers with bows

Warband 3
Dwarf captain with shield
12 dwarf warriors with shield

Warband 4
Mardin (can he be taken on his own?)
3 vault warden teams
1 shield bearer

Is this any good?
It's almost my birthday so will want to know what to get, apart from the rule book and free peoples book.

First off, I do believe that Mardin can be taken on his own, he just get's a bonus if Durin is taken as well.

Secondly, you could take another modal in warband two if you wanted.

Thirdly, yes this is a legal list

Fourthly, in warband two I'd swap the two-handed weapons for two more bows, two of them won't make a large enough difference on their own, I advise you to chose either warriors with two-handed weapons or rangers with bows, both cost the same I think and both are effective.

Fithly, could you leave a space between the warbands to help with reading please?

Sixthly, I'd say that it's a pretty good list

And seventhly, is their such things as fourthly, fithly and sixthly?

Rangers with bows are a point more expensive than two handed weapon warriors AFAIK

Thank you Magnuszered I have edited my list, 1 extra ranger and all with bows.
I might exchange the iron guard for more kahzhad guard as they are cheaper model wise.

I've never read the two towers rulebook so I couldn't say, sorry.

I've never used kazad guard myself (I get terrible two-handed weapon rolls) but they should be good combined with a banner

Thank you, I know they do something good but what do banners and horns do?

I'm only familiar with hobbit horns (+1 to fight value).

Banners let you re-roll 1 die to win a fight, as long as any part of that combat is within range of the banner.

Horns give +1 courage as long as they are alive.

I have hardly any of that army list so will need to get most of it.
I only have Dain, Balin, Gimli, 20 dwarf rangers and 3 dwarf warriors.
