I’m thinking about starting a PM blog in the near future but I need a camera to take pictures of the models. I don’t have a ton of money to drop on one but could probably manage about $200.
Can someone please point me in the right direction?
Thanks
Edit:
Sample pictures taken with said camera would be great as well.

Aren't most Canon Powershots under $200? I've got a SD990 IS and it's pretty decent. Newer models are probably better.

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

You want good glass, as in the lens. You're probably going to edit your images digitally, so you don't need all of those fancy bells and whistles that some companies add to their rigs in an effort to distract you from their substandard glass. That being said, Canon dominates the lower end price-points because a good amount of their higher end technology trickles down into their consumer lines, and there's really good value. As a photographer I can tell you with certain brands, they do well at certain ranges, but fall short at others. Nikon is a good one for example - decent high end, prosumer pretty nice, budget/entry level = the suck. The Canon PowerShot SX130 IS is a lot of camera for the money, will do great for blogging, and can be had for $200 or just under. Good luck with whatever you find!

Get a cannon powershot... they are cheap, and their macro is fantastic. For the price you pay in a Cannon, you are greatly equiped for taking miniature photos...

I use a Nikon Coolpix L22. It has a macro setting which works fine, and it cost me about $90.

Get the one of the Fujiflim FinePix A series or C series. Excellent quality, very small, and a ton of shooting options, for about $80 I've used an older model for 5+ years and it still shoots great.

I use a Sony Cyber-shot.

They run about $120 at walmart/target/wherever. They have all the basic features, zoom, manual flash control, instant review, and can do video (to the extent of the memory chip you install). They download strait into your laptop and can be manipulated/saved on just about any OTC program (Paint/PhotoShop). The battery is rechargable and the memory can hold several hundred shots. Good for family pics at the beach too.
Sample shots:

Dude on a cardboard base:
Dude WIP outdoor shot:
