anyone have any decent tactics to take down any of the above armies with 2 veteran squads, a valkyrie, and a CCS in an IG army?

It depends. How many points are you talking about? Is that all you have in your army? What do the other lists that you are expecting to face look like?

Or...

Are you looking for more generic answers as to different strategies vs those races with the Imperial Guard (if not somewhat specific to what you have)?

i have a storm trooper squad of 5 but other than that,
that is all, the points cost is about 800-950 pt, and the other armies vary from 1000pts-something like 2200pts.

i have literally got no other guard units after my leman russ got trashed and now im barely surviving games...

I'd say a good start would be have everyone at the same point level. There's no way to beat a 2250pt list with 800-900 points of IG.

I feel you're going to need things like Leman Russes, a Manticore or 2, Hydras, Chimeras, etc.............

I was just pointing out what Jidmah alluded to. Also, yes it matters - "Lemme get my blast template." "Is it a template or a blast?" "It's a blast." Using the exact correct terms avoids confusion.

True but someone new reading this my get the wrong idea by complete accident. It needed to be corrected.

It is normally best to use proper terminology, it keeps things from getting complicated.

I would pick up 3 chimeras. Give each a HF. The vets need meltas and the CCS 3 plasma guns a plasma pistol and a medic. Turn the valkyrie into a vendetta.

After that Manticores will do the best for you IMO. Storm troopers are a nice suicide but beyond that...

Against, ork and nids you need the ability to supress mobs. HF and blasts will be ideal. Necrons and Tau need some serious AT firepower. I would throw in an astropath to be able to outflank a vendetta quickly and hit side armor. GK have a midfield edge so stay back and use the TLLC and multi-lasers to pop armor and infantry. Just a side note with nids, if they have stealers stay 24" away from either side.

The only problem with outflanking the Vendetta is you only get to fire 1 TL lascannon.
I prefer to start mine on the table.

You'd be surprised how often semantics comes up in tactics discussions.

A bit of general help against Necrons, use artillery, lot's of artillery...

Open topped vehicles that a majority are skimmers will take a beating against Artillery, as well as infantry squads.

The new overwatch rule helps out.
Multiple shots and blasts.
AP2 weapons work well.
