Hello,
I'm still fairly new to the game w/ a total of 3-4 games in. I want to try out some link teams either muyibs or lasiq(unsure how effective they are as a team), looking for any advice from any haqq. players that have used either team. (tactics, loadouts, etc.)
Thanks,DM

I'm a huge fan of linked Muyibs. Since their AVA is 6 I often, pending the size of the game, take a full six of them.
MUYIB Rifle + Light Grenade Launcher (Normal and Smoke Ammo.) / Pistol, Knife (23 | 1)
Religious Troop, V: Dogged
2x MUYIB Rifle + Light Shotgun, Panzerfaust, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife (25 | 0.5)
Religious Troop, V: Dogged
2x MUYIB (Minelayer) Rifle + Light Shotgun, D.E.P. Viral Mines / Pistol, Knife (25)
Religious Troop, V: Dogged, Minelayer
MUYIB (X Visor) Spitfire, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife (31 | 1)
Religious Troop, V: Dogged, X Visor
154 Points | SWC: 3
Obviously you cannot link all 6 together, but I will often use the LGL as my LT and provide smoke cover for the link team. This isn't to say Lasiq are not fun in a link, but I haven't used much other than
2x LASIQ Viral Rifle + Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife (26)
CH: Mimetism, Climbing Plus, Religious Troop, X Visor
LASIQ Viral Sniper Rifle / Pistol, Knife (29 | 1.5)
CH: Mimetism, Climbing Plus, Religious Troop, X Visor
81 Points | SWC: 1.5
You'd be amazed at how much death a burst 4 Viral Rifle can bring with an X Visor.

I'm still unfamiliar with link rules, but I thought is was only the team leader that can shoot durning ur active turn & only +1 to a leaders weapons burst? How does the team act durning ARO?

In ARO, every member of the link gets the bonuses. This is covered in the description of each individual bonus.

As noted here, the link team leader is merely whoever you want to act as you spend each order. Just make sure as you change it that each guy is still within the area of a circular template with the new leader.
As far as the links, Muyibs are pretty amazing. I wouldn't run the minelayers in a 5 man link team, but I love them in vanilla haqq as my 2 muyibs I can take. That is just my playstyle though, as I prefer a doctor and 2 LGLs. Dogged doctors are super fun.

Your mileage may vary with the minelayer ones, but I've ran into a few player that like to try to jump in behind you.
I found the pair of mines places in my deployment area as a major deterant to those.
But...the minelayers are also the cheapest in points and SWC...

Thanks for everyones advice, I have to say that the wiki to me is so much easier to learn from than the rulebook. Really looking forward to trying both out.
Just want to make sure I get this right, in the reactive turn ARO models in a link become B2?

Yep, so those 2 shot panzerfausts could fully unload their rounds in a single ARO.

Keep in mind, you can only have one linked team at a time.

Yes I read that which is a bummer but can see how that can be way too powerful. Gonna try the muyibs first backed up by ragiks & a lasiq sniper or fiday if possible. (200pts.)

What you could do is run a list of the components to make Link teams of both units, link one, and then when you're done milking the link benefits of that squad, dissolve the link and establish a new one with the other units.

I don't think weapons with limited ammo recieve a boost to their burst.

Linked Team Bonuses
They do, but you're still limited by your ammo, so if your link leader goes B2 with a Panzerfaust, then that fig is out of ammo, same in the reactive turn, if you go for a B2 Panzerfaust ARO.

Quick question, lets say I have the majority of my team in the open & a enemy model pokes his head around a corner to take a shot at my team leader do:
A) only the leader been shot at ARO's
or
B) the entire team ARO's since they can ALL see the enemy.
Just want to confirm before my next game.

"In the reactive turn, all linked figures (The Team Leader and all members) gain all Bonuses provided for being part of a Linked Team (Depending the number of members the Team has). Contrary to an active turn, the linked figures, when reacting in ARO, perform dice rolls and apply their effects to the enemy, and they still benefit from Linked Team Bonuses. "
From the Wiki, and iirc copied almost directly from the pages about Linked Teams in Human Sphere. So yeah. B2 AROs from everyone. Nifty.

Ouch!
And nice - depending on which side of the ARO you're on (and how many minis have LOF!), of course...
