I also realise the first part of my comment was a bit dismissve of the regiments stuff and I really didn't mean it that way; just that as I don't have a full guard army command stuff doesn't grab my attention all that much. It' still all great looking stuff.

My INQ 28 stuff means I am VERY interested in the Daughters.

Waaait a minute. So that’s now THREE companies doing more or less simultaneous launches of Sister proxy ranges? Shieldwolf, WGE and now Anvil. Although I have to say these concepts are by far the nicest so far. WGE are always too cheesecake, SW always has something off with their sculpts, but these look great assuming they can be translated well to actual sculpts.

GW actually releasing Sisters? Lol, I'll believe it when I see it.

In the meantime I always liked Anvil's stuff so I'm looking forward to the KS.

If anything the fact multiple third parties are all releasing their own takes on the design around the same time makes me suspect they've heard something that makes them think Sisters will just be a codex-only release.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal

Yeah, remember when GW released Space Marines and every third party Space Marine stopped selling? Or when Anvils whole Regiments system collapsed because plastic Cadians exist?

Some people like the alternative designs 3rd parties produce, either for whole armies or individual models/units. There will be a market regardless of GW producing their own models

Evening folks,

@Sockwithaticket - I didn't take it as dismissive at all, We aim to offer as wide a range of bits as possible so we have something for everyone Glad you like the look of the new concepts!

@Mymearan - Err yes.. I was of course, aware of what some other companies were doing, but it's very much a coincidence that our project has lined up with others. I think there is plenty of room in the market, more choice is always good.

@Pugnacious_Cee- Actually I would love GW to release Plastic miniatures for their Sisters of Battle range. Its possible it would harm sales of our figures with a similar concept, but given how large GW are compared to us, its also possible that Plastic Sisters models = more people interested in medieval armoured female models = more sales of similarly themed ranges from other companies.

We are also planning as much as possible to design models which are quite distinct and have their own original look, because it makes our range usable in a wider range of settings/games.

@Yodrin - I'f you've heard anything about GW release plans do please PM me, we are very much as in the dark as everyone else!

-----------

The Daughters of the Burning Rose concept art video is certainly proving as popular as we hoped, and we have some more previews coming up this week!

Thanks all

Hey Anvil, I placed a large order for black ops torsos and a bunch of regiment bits and I'm absolutely in love with them! I was wondering if you had any plans to do anything like normal, human-sized Zweihanders or cavalry sabers? And any possibility of gaskmask versions of the tricorn hats? Also, any concrete date for the KS?

Yup, this is definitely my leading contender for Sisters. Unless plastic sisters drop between now and the kickstarter, I'm 99% likely to be in.

I need to see more concepts and renders first, but what I've seen so far is looking damned good. The doctor in particular checks off a few boxes that tickled my fancy. The concepts for the squires is also really nice, those would go nicely alongside the nobles of my Imperial Knights detachment.

Yeah, and I have to say...intriguing from a Necromunda standpoint as well. I've never taken to the "I"m an angy Gem cartoon" styling of GW's Escher, but these pieces of art make me think you could do a much cooler Escher gang as well.

A couple of those sketches wouldn't look out of place in fantasy settings.

Obviously, proof is in the renders and then models rather than sketches, but I think they could be playing an absolute blinder here.

Morning everyone,

Great to see lots of people excited about the project! I have all the concept art already so I'm perhaps the most excited! We will share more as soon as we can.

@FlubDugger- Glad you like the products! I am afraid sales of the tricorne so far have been slow, so different versions are not on the cards at the moment.

Have you seen the recently released "Mixed Sabres" product?

http://anvilindustry.co.uk/Regiments/Regiments-melee-weapons-equipment/mixed-sabres

Zweihanders are a possibility when we come to add melee arms and weapons to the Regiments range, but it could be some time before we get to that.

No concrete date for the KS launch yet, we will review our progress and try to pick a date in April as soon as we can. I don't want to announce a date and then have to delay it!

--------

@BrookM - thanks for posting all that up! I was going to get to it but you beat me to it.

@Aesthete - I would actually love GW to get around to release plastic Sisters of Battle models any time they feel like it. I think the increase in interest would boost sales of all the different takes on gothic medieval warrior women.

@Elbow - I'd not considered the possibility of use in Necromunda, but actually I could see it working with the right colour scheme. The infantry weapons are going to be modular, so its possible we could add some different options in to make a more rag-tag looking force.

@Sockwithaticket - Some models in the project will be very much sci-fi, some will have more of a fantasy style, and some will be in the middle. I am planning to make selection of models completely free, so people can back for the exact models they want, rather than being forced into pledging for a complete set of mixed figures.

We will also be doing melee/shield arms for the basic infantry if there is enough interest.

@Nostrodamus - Thank you. I've worked really hard for 7 years to built that reputation for reliable quality, and we certainly won't be lowering our standards with this project!

I think it's great to have that flexibility with the aesthetic, provides a lot of choice for us all as hobbyists, the hospitallier in particular probably wouldn't look out of place in a setting like Malifaux, and I guess it makes huge sense for you as business; you want the widest potential customer base possible, so the greater number of uses that the models can be put to the better.

Win/win for everybody!

Just curious Dose Anvil Industry have an ebay page other than their official webstore?

I'm very, very excited for the Sisters project - just hoping and praying they get to go to war with boots on, wearing armor that, you know, covers the torso.

Got my regiments stuff a week or so ago, could not be happier with the quality of the sculpts. Tremendous stuff, thank you.

Morning all,

@fox-light713 - We had an official ebay store for the first few years we were in business. It is still active but has no products on it any more. We only use anvilindustry.co.uk now.

I've just had a look and it appears our products are listed on various rather dodgy looking ebay stores, and at prices higher than we charge!
I would recommend ordering direct from us unless you are certain its a legitimate second hand seller.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

@Hanksingle - Don't worry, almost all the Daughters of the Burning Rose go to war in full plate armour, unless their battle field role is suited to less protective gear.

Hi everyone,

Our recent concept artwork for the Daughters of the Burning rose has been very popular on Facebook.

Here is a new concept piece we've not shared anywhere else yet! Death.

And full size versions of the Facebook images.

I love the new concept art - the first pic especially.

But is that last one part of the same line? Not that I'd mind getting a female Necron lord, but that's definitely no crusading sister.
