I have a small but growing collection of models so decided that I'd try out a Hungarian force

Harckocsizo Szazad

HQ - 1x CinC Tiger I E (195 pts)
- Recovery - 1x Famo (5 pts)
- Ervin Tarczay (75 pts)

2x Tiger I E (390 pts)
2x Tiger I E (390 pts)

3x Toldi IIa (130 pts)
3x Toldi IIa (130 pts)
2x Nimrod AA (115 pts)

2x 15cm NW41 rocket launcher (60 pts)

1490 Points, 6 Platoons

I have:
-5 tigers without storm trooper&tiger skills but with hussar move and a hero
-two fully armoured scouts units on track with Rof 3 on main gun (AT7)
-AA unit that is capable of flank shot and killing a panther with it (ROF 4 and AT7)
-and some really cheap mini smoke bombardment

I've barely glimpse at the Hungarian forces in GW. That could be a hard hitting armd force.

Well basically made the switch to the Huns as I couldn't really afford to wedge in everything that I wanted with the Schwere Panzer list.

The only weak link as far as I can see it is the two stands of nebel's but they're there for a mini smoke screen so may not be hamstrung when they're removed

The Nimords are a pretty big weakspot as well, FA 3 aren't they? At least the Toldis are recce.

Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

Yeah it is properly the weak spot of the list, however I wanted some cheap AA and also the 2nd ability to destroy something hitting the flank if the need or opportunity arises

Not really. They're a cheap support choice meant to cover your armour from air or clear out light infantry. So long as you use them that way, they're a major advantage

The hungarian tank list is very solid.

I would recommend looking at panthers over the tigers though. Better front armor and a better main gun at AT 14 is nice. Also Tarkozy in a panther is best, a panther that gets to re-roll misses is awesome.

The Toldis esp with the 40mm are great, the main issue you will run into is wanting to fire them at things instead of doing recon tasks.

I won an 18 player 1265 tournament with

Panther w/Tarkozy
2x panthers
3x Turani I
3x Zyrini
4x Toldi II w/40mm

For 1750 in the next tournament Im taking

Panther w/Tarkozy
3x panther
3x Pz IVH
3x Turani I
3x Turani II
4x Toldi II 20mm
4x Toldi II 40mm

Should be good against pretty much anything I might run into. Enough recon and tanks to absord the new Overpowered TD company and still be able to fight. Enough High AT for heavy tanks, and enough AT overall for medium tank co, and with recon/ lots of rapid fire decent firepower weapons should do well against dug in infantry.

I know what they are for but they are an easy platoon to kil andl as there are 2 very weak platoons and 2 weakish platoons (depending on disengage rolls) Company morale tests are a danger with this list.
