Since space marines and grey knights are very similar, could you have a vindicator and whirlwind in a grey knights army? Could you have land speeders?

Straightforward answer, if its not in the codex then no. But I guess you could have them "count as" something in the codex if you really like the models.

No, it's not in the Codex. GK are a small elite force. They rapid insert termies, kill whatever was there, and then get out. Fluff wise they are supposed to be an even more mobile force than the SM, focused entirely on infantry insertion. No heavy vehicular support besides transports.

From a crunch perspective it's just not fair. GK are already widely considered the most powerful army out there. It isn't fair to SM to take away all their special equipment and give it to such a powerful force.

Also, if gk could take anything, then nobody would play vanilla marines, thats why I'm kind of happy they got the new flyer, gives them something for once that none of the toher marine codex's can take. Each marine army should be different and have accsess to different models, If you like the gk models, then I guess you can use the parts to customise your space marines and make up your own 'knight' chapter using the vanilla codex.

The only vehicles GKs can take are Rhinos, Razorbacks, Landraiders, Dreadnoughts, and Stormravens.

Henchmen are not GKs.

If you have Inquisitors and Henchmen you arn't playing a GK army, you are playing an Inquisition army.

they meen the "if your army can take option a from that other codex, i want option be from this codex" thing if GK can have the shiny SM toys, then IG should have terminators, or chaos should be allowed something from another codex etc

Also fluffwise the best way to think of the GK is a swat team. Where as with SM the tabletop could be just a small section of the overall planetwide battle, with GK thats it. Small squads of cream of the crop troops, a supporting gunship and thats it. Get in, kill the trouble and leave cleanup and occupation to the other guys

Even if you had Psybolts, it only effects the following weapons. Bolters(all kinda) Assault Cannons, and Autocannons.
