Thinking of starting Hordes. Is this a good starter list?

Pretty good start for Lylyth1. The Shepherd will help manage all that fury and the deathstalker can go solo hunting.

It will depend on what you want, and if keeping things in faction matters to you or not, but a suggestion: Ditch the Ogrun, and pick up Gators. I've just started really utilizing them, and I've felt the difference between the two. They can REALLY get the job done and be a huge problem for your opponent as they are sturdy.

Ogrun are cool, but tend to be less durable. Plus the lack of pathfinder and the fact that gators for only 1 more point are so much better at the job and are more versatile.

Also, I'd recommend (if you have the $$$) to go ahead and pick up another Shepherd (1 pt solos that make Legion's heavies perform amazing tasks), and another Heavy beast (preferable the heavy plastic kit, so you can magnetize that sucker up and swap between a carni/scythean/ravagore for one price.) It will give you some list options without being extremely harsh on your pocketbook.

Forsaken are great as well, pick 1 up when you can and test them out. I did a blight bomb on pKreoss yesterday while he was camping 3 focus, pow 8 plus 5 dice dmg lol. Almost killed him.
