I like your Chanel. Do you play against the Orange County Choppas? They are a good group of guys in Orlando? I believe the Amorous Armadillo is having a tournament next weekend. Should be a decent turn out

Blue table painting is pretty poor when it comes to rules... at least according to 90% of the comments.

WargamingForFun is a good one for full games and especially new players, and they've recently turned to warmahording

Hadn't seen your channel. I have now. Sub'd with gusto.

Otherwise for batreps, mostly BTP. While they aren't the most accurate they seem to have the most fun and I appreciate the long format.
When miniwargaming actually does fantasy I watch.
There really aren't many other I watch.

I've actually unsubscribed and stopped watching Miniwargaming's stuff because of the overwhelming amount of ads, brought about in no small part by the way their batreps are broken up into small segments. In fact, one of the reasons I continue to watch MrMalorian's reports is because it's one of the very few channels that doesn't have intro ads at all

I don't mind the MWG ads/intros. The youtube channel is a promo for their business. That's fine. If you're talking Youtube ads, I don't see them so I'm not sure how bad they are. AdBlock, etc are your friend.

Hi, Myself and a few friends have set up a youtube channel link:http://www.youtube.com/user/DreamlikeGaming?feature=mhee

We have just started playing fantasy so please bear with us on any rule mistakes or queries, let us know in the comments what we are doing wrong or right (did think that will be the case for some time), hopefully we will get the rules right as I've seen a few comments above.

Cheers

I'm fond of VaulSC's channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/VaulSC/videos (the WHFones seem to be mostly under Playlists). Easy to follow, and good insight into what he did and why. He recently reported a 15K per side Skaven v Chaos mega battle.

"The 75mm gun is firing. The 37mm gun is firing, but is traversed round the wrong way. The Browning is jammed. I am saying "Driver, advance." and the driver, who can't hear me, is reversing. And as I look over the top of the turret and see twelve enemy tanks fifty yards away, someone hands me a cheese sandwich."

I'm going over the vaul channel now... the commentary is nice.

I actually prefer to watch Gothic battle reports more than any other game... fantasy seems too luck based these days. *controversial.

I haven't subscribed to any as I was kind of turned off by a few early ones I scoped. I did watch Vaul's for a while, and as a whole they were quite good, but I ditched when he hit a particularly whiny patch. e.g. "Can you believe it? He's got away with it! TWO Stegs!" He may have bounced back after that, but I never returned. tmarichards' videos have been pretty good, but I've actually been intimidated off by the sheer volume.

I do *really* like the execution on Vidhammer's reports. The time lapse style is better than any other format I've seen.

I think maybe my main problem with video reports is that they have this feel of pulling forum goers away from the community. Typically they say- "Hey, I've posted something new over on my site/feed. Come over and check it out." I do appreciate those that stick around and discuss feedback on the forum, though.

“It was in lands of the Chi-An where she finally ran him to ground. There she kissed him deeply as he lay dying, and so stole from him his last, agonized breath.

On a delicate chain at her throat, she keeps it with her to this day.”

Know where you are coming from, there are a LOT of them. I tend to take a couple hours a weekend to watch through (for example) a whole Tourney in one go (with toilet breaks, im not a machine!), allows me to enjoy them, while not getting distracted by other things...YMMV.

They are good though. For me, as well, it gives a good view into the various Tournaments available over here, and which ones are done well/badly etc.

Agreed, thats one reason i normally dont like them. The other (selfish) reason it that YouTube is blocked for me at work, which means i lose prime Bat Rep reading time (lunch)...

BTP isn't bad when they have Josh play. He at least has a decent grasp of all the rules.

For me it's got to be BTP.
They offer a friendly and fun approach to battle reports.
Whilst the rules are not always 100% accurate, they show the friendly side of war gaming and show you the full length of their games without cutting it all out.
Not to mention the fantastically painted miniatures and gaming boards.
